When the midnight clock struck, the sky was still silent.
The crowd glanced at their watches. Perhaps the time for the bats to appear had not come yet, so they decided to wait a bit longer.

Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo walked hand in hand through the forest in the morning, the sunlight dappling through the dense layers of leaves, sprinkling over them and reflecting rainbow hues off the crystal-clear dew on the leaves.
"I need to go back first," Luo Shu said. Hanmo had almost finished dealing with things here and would return in a few days himself.
Lu Hanmo nodded, "Then be careful on your way, and send me a message when you arrive." Although he hated to part with her, he knew she also had her own matters to attend to.
