Spy-x-War Showdown Chapter 155

Yang Yi immediately started running.

He couldn’t let himself be surrounded and beaten by many people. Yang Yi was a good fighter, but he wasn’t invincible, with many arms and legs. He could handle opponents one by one without damage, but if attacked by a group, he would likely get hurt.

And now, he couldn’t afford to be injured.

So Yang Yi wasn’t running aimlessly. He quickly charged towards a burly man who was closing in on him, the leader of Hell’s Angels in Pelican Bay Prison.

Seeing Yang Yi charging at him, the burly man was momentarily caught off guard. He stopped in his tracks and quickly pulled out a knife from his chest. Then, spreading his arms, he assumed a posture ready to fight Yang Yi.

Yang Yi closed the distance to the burly man, then he crouched down and delivered a clean, decisive Sweeping Leg to the man’s legs, knocking him to the ground with just one strike.

In martial arts, there is the Sweeping Leg technique, but it’s rare to see it used in the ring, and even if someone is knocked down in a fight, there’s never a follow-up move.

The real purpose of the Sweeping Leg isn’t just to knock someone down; martial arts is an art of killing. The goal after knocking someone down is to deliver a fatal blow.

So what should follow the Sweeping Leg is a kick directly to the back of the head.

And that’s what Yang Yi did. He brought his opponent down with a Sweeping Leg and, as he continued to run forward, his left foot kicked viciously at the burly man’s face, not taking his life but knocking him out cold.

Yang Yi didn’t stop; he ran straight towards the prison guards.

The guard pointed his gun at Yang Yi, who then stopped and coldly said, "Don’t shoot. If you do, I guarantee you’ll regret it. I’m very angry right now, and if you don’t want to be involved, I advise you to report to the warden that I wish to speak with him."

The guard didn’t shoot, clearly hesitating. In the end, the guard shouted, "Get down!"

At the moment, Yang Yi’s threats didn’t come with any real power for retaliation, but he had no other choice. His only option was to intimidate others to break out of the current predicament.

As long as he could see the warden, Yang Yi could negotiate with him. If it was about money, then he could bribe the new warden just like he bribed Owen.

The Hell’s Angels watched Yang Yi in a standoff with the guard, each of them stopping and watching as the guard shouted again, "Get on the ground! Or I’ll shoot!"

Yang Yi patted his chest, looking angry, and said, "Think carefully about the consequences of shooting. If you don’t want your family to suffer retaliation, then go ahead and shoot. Now! I’m going back to my cell to sleep. If you want to shoot, shoot. But I warn you one last time, tell your new warden I give him three days, just three days! Ask him if he’s ready to face the consequences of crossing Shadow!"

Having said that, Yang Yi turned around and, with a face full of rage, shouted, "Move! Do you want to die?"

Those Hell’s Angels still waiting at a distance hesitated.

In prison, those who talk big without the strength to back it up usually end up with the worst fate. But the problem was that Yang Yi wasn’t just all talk—he could genuinely fight. Not in the way those prisoners were used to, but with that decisive Eastern skill, like the difference between a regular tough fighter and a movie martial arts master.

Moreover, Zhang Yong, who had been closely associated with Yang Yi, had fled; after killing someone in the high-security area and escaping by helicopter, the prisoners might not have known, but at least the warden did.

That meant that when Yang Yi was bluffing, it wasn’t all show; to others, he came off as the mysterious and formidable type.

Therefore, he might as well use a name that sounded intimidating to scare the warden for a moment, like the name of some especially formidable, secretive organization. In his urgency, Yang Yi couldn’t think of a suitable name. He knew Danny’s "Dark Night Knight," but he couldn’t use that name. He had also heard about "Shadow" from Zhang Yong, which was a pure assassin organization. Even though it no longer existed, it seemed it could still be used to scare people.

Whether the warden would agree to see him or whether he had been scared, none of that mattered now.

In fact, Yang Yi was also very afraid while doing all this. When he turned around, he feared the guards would shoot him in the back, and he feared even more that they would put a bullet in the back of his head, and though it would be a rubber bullet, it could still be lethal if it hit the back of the skull.

But Yang Yi had no way to contact the outside world right now; he wasn’t really that powerful, so he could only pretend to be tough to make the play seem more real.

Within, Yang Yi felt incredibly vulnerable, but he heard no gunshot.

Yang Yi slowly walked to his usual chair and sat down with a grim expression.

Today, he had actually managed to intimidate them and won a moment’s respite, but this was only a temporary measure. Yang Yi had to come up with a way to leave this place as soon as possible, by any means, but it had to be fast.

Rodriguez seemed a bit tense and whispered to Yang Yi, "Boss, what do we do now? Are we going to fight them?"

Rodriguez was a bit dumbstruck, but he wasn’t stupid; he knew that if it came down to a fight with the Hell’s Angels, his slight frame wouldn’t be able to take it.

It was then that Yang Yi suddenly saw a familiar figure quickly walking towards him.

Hank sat down next to Yang Yi and then said with a smile on his face, "Boss, it’s my first time seeing you in action, really impressive. The Hell’s Angels are not easy to provoke, but they were like mice who’d seen a cat when they saw you. Look, they don’t dare to move an inch."

This slippery guy had cozied up again.

Hank, having just avoided immediate punishment for hitting a member of the Hell’s Angels and having been hiding somewhere, had misunderstood the situation.

Yang Yi gave Hank a cold glance and said, "You dare to show up again? But there’s no place for you here anymore, get lost."

Still smiling, Hank said, "Boss! I’ve never left. It just so happened that I wasn’t by your side. If there’s anything you need me to do, please just give the order, boss!"

Hank was useful but not trustworthy; however, as long as he was useful, that was enough. Once out of prison, Yang Yi had countless ways to keep him firmly in hand.

It was time to have Hank do something to prove his loyalty; he couldn’t let him enjoy the benefits without lifting a finger.

"What should I have you do? Well, get me a cell phone. Bring it to me by tomorrow, or you don’t have to show up anymore."

Hank was stunned for a moment, but he quickly nodded and said, "I understand, boss. I’ll get it for you."

Yang Yi had decided to take action. He wanted to break out, and the sooner, the better. He would take others with him if he could, but if not, he’d leave on his own. However, he needed to make contact with the outside world to have someone on the outside to pick him up.
