Chapter 25: Adult stage?
They believed that the master must have an interest in Yi Heng, to have gone out of his way like that to help her get her revenge, with that as the foundation, if they got the master to interest in her, potentially making her his female.
Then wouldn’t that guarantee them a proper place in his territory, moreover, if he also took the rest of them as concubines, then they wouldn’t have anything more to worry about.
Even Yi Heng had a doubtful expression as she stared at the three fox demons on the other side of the fence. Feeling reluctant to be ordered around by demons she deemed inferior to her strength.
" I see, I’m afraid there’s a serious misunderstanding here." Su Ping’s expression soured, the sight of his cold eyes caused the Cow demoness’s to stiffen, some sucking in a breath of cold air.
" I wasn’t asking for your opinion when I said that. What I said was a command."
" Are you trying to say that your unwilling to accept my orders?" Su Ping’s eyes began glowing a dark purple black, at the same time, a purple black sheen covered his claws.
" Master please show mercy!"
" We didn’t mean to disregard your orders!"
" We’ll be obedient, we promise!"
The Cow demoness’s sensed that Su Ping was genuinely angered. Moreover, his killing intent wasn’t fake at all but the real deal.
He was really willing to kill them all right now, After all. Why shouldn’t he? In his eyes, Ming Yao, Ning An and Yang Lan were far more helpful to him. Not only had they helped him before but they’d never complained, so why should he disregard them and entertain these new bunch of disobedient slabs of meat.
If he kills them now, he wouldn’t lose out at all, he had already gathered an ample amount of wood and gotten to eat the bull demon without gaining a single scratch.
Worst case scenario, he would have to find another heard to enslave but with his Dark Dragon Eyes, that wouldn’t be hard at all. Not to mention that they were all pretty fresh and on the plump side. Eating them all might even allow him to reach adult stage.
Su Ping scoffed, quelling his anger. He felt like the ten of them weren’t servants anymore but an annoying nuisance.
" Ming Yao, Yang Lan, Ning An. Here." Su Ping waved his hand, causing 3 Wood elemental gems to emerge in his hand before he tossed them towards the 3 fox demoness’s.
" Master but these are–" Ming Yao stared at the gem in disbelief but Su Ping signaled for her to keep quiet with his gaze, he then brought out another wood elemental gem and tossed it to Yi Heng who caught it with her teeth.
" Since your clearly against the notion of being below the three of them, I’ll give you a chance. In a week. I’ll give you one week to use that Elemental gem to awaken the wood elemental affinity."
" If you can’t do that, I don’t want to hear your annoying comments again. Understand?"
" Of course Master, I’m truly grateful, thank you for giving me a chance to prove myself!" Yi Heng prostrated on the ground, her face filled with gratitude.
Su Ping nodded before turning back to the 3 fox demoness’s. " The three of you shouldn’t misunderstand. I’ll be truly disappointed if you fail to beat her by then."
" Whoever comes out on top will be promoted to my second in command."
" Likewise, Yi Heng. If you fail to come out victorious, you’ll be directly subordinate the three of them. Understand?"
" Of course Master, if I can’t even come out on top, I have no right to remain discontent." Yi Heng nodded her head, her eyes filled with determination.
The three fox demoness’s as well we’re instantly heated up to complete the challenge.
Su Ping was satisfied with this turnout. Now he could foster the Cow demoness’s loyalty while also maintaining stable relationships within the camp.
Just then a Construction-imp came up to Su Ping. " What is it?" He inquired. Building the defensive wooden walls was his number one priority at the moment, the sooner it was built, the quicker he could rest assured that his subordinates would be safe when the night came.
" Master, I’m afraid i must report that the amount of wood you’ve gathered is still not enough. We’re still short a small amount, due to that, we can’t commence with the construction."
" Is that so. Leave that to me then." Su Ping said before assembling 5 Cow demoness’s by his side.
" We’ll go gather more wood, no need to wait for us, just commence with the construction."
" As you wish master." Said the Construction Imp before running off to inform it’s counterparts.
Su Ping set out once more, this time with 5 Cow demoness’s. It didn’t take them long to arrive West. Where the dense foliage was. Like before, Su Ping cut down several trees into logs before using his Magic and his Wood elemental affinity, to create harness to attach the logs to the Cow demoness’s.
" Master please add some more, I can barely feel it."
" Yes master, this much wood isn’t enough. They might’ve asked for little but, would it not be better for us to prepare enough, just incase."
’ Huh? Is it really that light?’
Su Ping was surprised that they were this enthusiastic and concerned with helping complete the project. He didn’t know that they were just trying to get into his good graces.
’ I guess I must’ve underestimated their strength, they really are great pack mule’s.’ Su Ping rejoiced inwardly. The only thing better than a labourer was an even more stronger one.
Su Ping added even more to their load, only when he started hearing faint sounds of wheezing from them, did he stop.
’ This much should be enough to last them and more, let’s return at once.’ he said to himself as he led the way back.
Mid way back, Su Ping suddenly sensed something approaching. The Cow demoness’s stiffened when they heard audible thumping footsteps as if signalling that something massive was approaching.
