It wasn’t because he was staying low-key, or occupied with the bullies, nor because of the aftermath of her dirty tricks. But because he was genuinely concerned about her situation.
If the Fei Chuan back then had indeed fought for her rank, she would be in a worse situation. And perhaps, the difficulty of winning the heirship would have risen to another hellish level.
A sour yet sweet sensation overwhelmed Bei Sangyun. She felt choked with indescribable emotions that were both comforting and stinging.
