Remembering how Zhilan had sarcastically addressed Gu En earlier, her tone and her expression were so cold that Jiang Biyun almost didn’t recognize her as the gentle and kind Zhilan she knew.
Throughout the morning classes, Zhilan was hardly able to concentrate and take much in. Even though she had been trying to calm herself down, she seemed to have spent the morning in a daze.
After class, Zhilan saw Jiang Biyun and Chen Xiting waiting for her downstairs. The four of them, including Tan Heqian, went straight to the cafeteria.

The one whose boyfriend apparently ’convinced’ her to jump off a building? She’s in the hospital now. Did you hear that many people are saying her life is ruined! Honestly, what was she thinking? The school tolerates students dating to some extent, but we haven’t seen anyone as brazen as her! And to think she even jumped off a building after they broke up! This reflects so badly on our school’s reputation. The school principal has now forbidden college students from dating. I heard that Liao Qinghong is going to be punished, it’s uncertain whether she’ll be severely reprimanded or expelled."
"I can’t imagine how many students who were openly dating will curse her as they have to hide it now." Zhilan couldn’t find the slightest bit of sympathy for Liao Qinghong after what had happened the previous night.
