Lin Chan claimed to be ’borrowing’ Zhilan, yet he didn’t give He Teng any chance to object. After dropping such a comment, he grabbed Bian Xiulin with one hand and He Zhilan with the other, looking all too pleased with himself, and waltzed out with his chosen company.
When it came to bossing people around, no one was better than Lin Chan.
He said he was going to treat Bian Xiulin and He Zhilan to a meal, but as soon as they left the hospital, Lin Chan drove them straight to the food market. Then, shamelessly coaxing Zhilan, "Sis, I know you’re a fantastic cook. Xiulin and I, we’re always eating out and look how skinny it’s made us. I’m paying today, so you just tell me what to get. Though He Zhilan was no professional chef, simple home cooking was a piece of cake for her.
Seeing He Zhilan’s agreement, the young master Lin Chan, for the first time in his life, stepped into a food market. Like an obedient follower, he was quick to pay and receive goods, not letting the two ladies lift a finger.
With the later addition of Bian Muhe, four of them dined together. He Zhilan prepared two meat dishes, a vegetable dish, a cold appetizer, and a soup. Even though her presentation could not compete with a professional chef’s, the tantalising aroma wafting from the kitchen had the three waiting in the living room, by the kitchen door, ready to attack the feast. When He Zhilan announced the meal was ready, they quickly set the table and bowls. As soon as He Zhilan sat down, Lin Chan shamelessly served her a bowl of soup before tucking in.
"Brother-in-law He sure is lucky! A wife who is beautiful, demure, and lovable, a talented woman from Capital University, who also knows how to cook! I’m so envious!" As he ate, Lin Chan couldn’t help but praise He Zhilan.
"I’m really looking forward to Captain He recovering soon." Bian Xiulin let out a mischievous giggle.
"Because once Captain He can eat normally, we can also get in on this. When Zhilan cooks, she could include meals for us. The thought of it has me anticipating."
