"So, you and Gu En have made up!"
Jiang Biyun feels as if the scenery of the school turns beautiful when Gu En is in a good mood. Gu En truly rules their dormitory like a queen, she’s very domineering.
The trio was walking to the classroom when Jiang Biyun told He Zhilan all about Gu En’s recent behavior. "I’m worried that Gu En’s ongoing actions will make Wang Bingbing and Huang Cai cry all day. From now on, we should avoid offending, pleasing, or getting too close to Gu En. If we offend her, we are the ones who will suffer. If we try to please her, she would only look down on us."
He Zhilan was totally unaware of all these things. After her quarrel with Gu En, she seldom encountered Gu En. Even when they saw each other in the dormitory, they would just ignore each other. At most, Gu En would hum at her, and then she would promptly leave the dormitory in a hurry.
"I am incredibly sorry for making you both experience such tumultuous days because of me."
"Come off it! It’s not your fault, dealing with Gu En is the hard part. You didn’t see how even when you volunteered to apologize just now, she still maintained her arrogant demeanor, showing no remorse for her harsh words that day. She clearly sees herself as right and you as wrong, it’s so infuriating!" Chen Xiting grumbled: "I wonder how her parents raised such a daughter! Chen Xiting was expressing her indignation on behalf of He Zhilan. Anyone would get angry after hearing Gu En’s unashamed comments on He Zhilan’s severely injured brother.
"I agree with what you’ve said!" Jiang Biyun nodded vigorously before turning the topic to the question of whether He Zhilan was pregnant.
Upon hearing Jiang Biyun’s inquiry, Chen Xiting was even more excited than He Zhilan herself. "Yeah, are you? Are you going to be a mom?"
In contrast to Chen Xiting’s carefree excitement, Jiang Biyun was much more serious, "Even though you and your husband are legally married and the school validates your marriage, getting pregnant while still studying can reflect badly on the school. I fear they might encourage you to drop out. We said it lightly earlier, but we all know, it isn’t easy to get accepted at Capital University. We worked hard for twelve years just to be here. It would be a shame if you have to drop out due to pregnancy."
"Don’t worry, there’s nothing like that. My menstrual cycle just got disturbed by the new environment. I got it checked over the weekend at the hospital and have been taking herbal remedies since." Looking at Jiang Biyun, He Zhilan wondered if she had been worrying over her pregnancy for the past few days.

At the crossroads, Chen Xiting parted ways with them. Afterward, He Zhilan and Jiang Biyun went together to the lecture hall for their specialized course.

"I am quite diligent, right? I came twenty minutes early to grab this seat!" Tan Heqian bragged with a proud smile. It was as if he was fishing for compliments from He Zhilan and Jiang Biyun.
