As soon as the words fell, Gu En suddenly lifted her hand and directly pushed He Zhilan. Caught off guard and with her arms full, Zhilan lost her balance and tumbled to one side, the bag in her hands spilling to her feet.
"It’s you who’s blocking the way, little mutt!" Gu En laughs joyfully at the sight and mockingly lifts her foot at He Zhilan.
Seeing this, He Zhilan inwardly cried out in alarm! She quickly stood up and dragged the things at her feet to the side. Sure enough, the very next second, Gu En’s foot landed where she had just fallen. If she hadn’t reacted quickly, her hand and her things would have been trampled under Gu En’s foot!
Her foot finding no target, Gu En shrugged in disappointment and strutted off, her own bag swinging wildly in her hand.
He Zhilan brushed off the dust on her bag and felt a sense of helplessness. She might be considered bad at the He Family, but compared to Gu En, she’s merely an amateur. Gu En is a domineering tyrant! Pushing people routinely, even at school!
Fortunately, her bag hadn’t come undone and the clothes inside hadn’t fallen out. Only after she had brought the large bag of clothes back to her dorm did she begin to take them out piece by piece. They were indeed clothes made from Shang Cunshu’s fabric. Some were lightweight jackets perfect for this season, others were made into padded jackets. There were quite a few items in the bag.
"He Zhilan, did you ask Lin Chan if she wanted a little sister?" Chen Xiting asked covetously from the side, "If these clothes were hung in a store, they’d surely be sold out immediately! They’re stunning!"
"Oh, I forgot! The next time I see him, I’ll remember to ask for the two of you!" He Zhilan knew Chen Xiting and Jiang Biyun were teasing her, so she played along.
"Speaking of which, did you encounter Gu En just now? She went downstairs not long after you did, but I only just saw her leaving the dormitory." Biyun inquired, glancing at Zhilan. Only then did she notice a small abrasion on Zhilan’s palm, her expression changed, "Is it from Gu En?"
"Yeah, she pushed me when I wasn’t paying attention and almost managed to step on me when she left the dormitory. Luckily, I reacted quickly and sidestepped her." Zhilan touched the wound on her palm, which didn’t hurt much. If Biyun hadn’t pointed it out, she wouldn’t have even noticed the minor skin breakage.
"Vicious little witch!" Chen Xiting gritted her teeth.
"I really don’t understand, is God blind? Giving such a sinister and malicious heart to someone with such a privileged background. Isn’t this just a license for her to commit atrocities without fear?" Biyun looked towards Gu En’s bed, glaring at its direction as if Gu En were actually there. She seemed as if she could flip Gu En’s bed with her eyes.
Reality is indeed frustrating. Gu En could do as she pleased with Zhilan, but Zhilan could do nothing but avoid her. If she dared to retaliate, it would simply give Gu En an opportunity to have her expelled from Capital University. Unless she could likewise scheme without leaving evidence like Gu En, but Zhilan could not afford to do that. She had to attend classes, return to the dorm on time, and she only had a few friends around her.
Everyone in the dormitory sighed in unison. Huang Cai took out her ointment and handed it to Zhilan, "You should apply some. It’s a homemade salve from my family. It’s safe to use and very effective. Every family in our village keeps some of this around."
