Gu En didn’t get upset over He Zhilan’s aloofness. She spent a long time admiring herself in the mirror, then tossed her clothes on the bed, grabbed her bag, and made a phone call to Lin Deng to pick her up for shopping as she walked out of the dorm.
"Pssht!" Chen Xiting rolled her eyes at Gu En’s retreating figure. "She treats Lin Deng like a chauffeur, expecting him to be on call all the time!"
Jiang Biyun could only snort, rendered speechless. "Look at her, acting all smug as if she’s the only one with a grandpa! Showing off like a rooster! My grandpa is so good to me too! If I want something, he’ll get it for me! If my parents scold me, he would even scold them for me! When I was a kid, with my grandma and grandpa sheltering me, I was the little tyrant of my home!"
Everyone in the dorm thought that once Gu En left, she wouldn’t come back until the next day. However, to their surprise, she returned before the dorm’s curfew with bags of shopping.
He Zhilan was not perturbed even when Zhou Hongjin didn’t deliver the clothes before the dormitory gate was closed for the night. She trusted Zhou Hongjin and believed that he would always keep his word. If there were any delays, it must have been due to some unavoidable circumstances.
He Zhilan had a bit of insomnia that night, and only managed to fall asleep just before dawn. Unfortunately, she was soon awakened by Gu En rising early in the morning. She checked the time—it was only eight in the morning.
Gu En was someone who never considered the others in the dorm who might want to sleep in. Whenever she woke up in a good mood, she would hum a tune while busily attending to her things, completely unconcerned about waking the others with her noise.

I think they should suit you perfectly. It’s a lake-blue dress; it’s formal enough and also warm enough so you won’t get cold. But remember to wear a thick jacket; the wind outside is quite chilly today."
"Thank you, Zhou Hongjin! It’s beautiful!" He Zhilan took it and had a look. The lake-blue dress was quite heavy, indicating its good quality. She continued, "Zhou Hongjin, I’m really sorry. I asked you to accompany me to the banquet and even had you prepare a dress for me. But because of this, you ended up with car trouble."
"Don’t be formal. In fact, I should thank you. If the car had broken down on my way to the banquet, that would have been a real problem! Discovering the issue early helped me avoid that, and now it’s fixed. I have to go now, but I’ll be back to pick you up at two o’clock sharp. Remember to dress up!"
