"I don’t instructor, I want you to be my instructor! We have grown up together, and you’re my person, Gu En’s. Why should you take care of unrelated persons, and not take care of me!"
"You’re not in my team, how can I take care of you?" Lin Deng countered.
"That’s why you should come and be my instructor!"
Lin Deng almost spit out blood, "I tell you, Madam Gu, could you please stop this? If you really want me to be your instructor, go to the school administration yourself. If they agree, then I can’t say no! If you don’t want to go through military training, why don’t you pretend to be sick? I can speak with my classmates and have them turn a blind eye. Or, I could forge a fake hospital certificate for you, so you won’t have to go for military training. If you’re afraid to go home, you could go out and have fun for a week before returning!"
"Are you doing this for my sake?" Gu En raised an eyebrow, half doubting, half believing.
"If I’m not doing this for your sake, then whose? When haven’t I, Lin Deng, helped you since we were kids?" Lin Deng’s expression was serious, his words were true, his affection for Gu En was even greater than that for his cousin.
"Humph! Forget it, I, Gu En, grew up in this courtyard after all, I won’t be cowardly enough to not be able to withstand military training! I’m fine, I’ll go get some rest!" Gu En suddenly calmed down, then left with a satisfied look on his face.

Seeing that Lin Deng was about to say something but stopped himself, his classmate just gave him a glance before going about his own business.
He Zhilan didn’t know when Gu En returned to the dorm. But when everyone woke up to the sound of the alarm, Gu En also woke up from bed. She appeared grumpy due to the lack of sleep and everyone was extra careful not to set off this human time bomb.
"He Zhilan!" Gu En lifted her head and said, "Wait for me to have dinner together after the training this afternoon!"
He Zhilan was taken aback, then she glanced at Jiang Biyun and Chen Xiting. The three of them had originally planned to have dinner together in the first canteen.
Jiang Biyun and Chen Xiting mouthed at He Zhilan, signaling her not to mention having dinner with them. If Gu En insisted on joining, they’d surely lose their appetite.
He Zhilan glared at the two of them for putting her in the position, then responded to Gu En with an "oh". She thought to herself, Gu En’s fickle nature could lead her to change her mind by evening. Besides, everyone knew that it would be futile to say no to Gu En.
He Zhilan was feeling a bit overwhelmed with having to deal with Gu En after a tiring day of military training. But she had no choice but to keep Gu En satisfied, considering her hidden agenda and untold calculations. It didn’t allow her to offend Gu En.
