Typically, there are four levels of accommodations on a cruise ship.
The most basic are the inside cabins.
These inside cabins are usually in the middle of the ship, with only a door facing the corridor, no windows, and the rooms are a bit smaller than standard business hotel rooms and often have hideaway bunks. Without any natural light, the lights have to be turned on during the day making it the cheapest option. Usually, inside cabins are for those with average economic conditions.
Obviously, since the school is paying for this luxury cruise, it won’t just be a luxurious ship, but the cabins also have to be luxurious there is no way Wen Ruohan would book inside cabins for the students.
Slightly better than the inside cabins are the ocean-view rooms.
Don’t be deceived by the name "ocean-view room". It’s actually quite different from what people usually imagine.
Ocean-view rooms on the cruise ship are on either side, with windows that look out to the sea. The rooms are similar to standard business hotel rooms, usually with hideaway bunks, and one window that can’t be opened provides natural light and a view of the ocean.
Further up, there are the balcony rooms.
Balcony rooms are also on either side, with sea-facing balconies. The rooms are similar to standard luxury hotel rooms, usually consisting of one large bed and an extra bed for children. Luxury cruise ships generally also have balcony rooms facing the walking street. In sea-view balcony rooms, there is a 1.2-meter-high solid fence, a balcony that’s about four square meters with chairs and a table, and they’re quite comfortable.
The prices for balcony rooms are usually quite steep.
These are not what the students from Mist City Arts and Science University should be treated to.
Wen Ruohan set her sights on—suites!
Suites come with private balconies. They are either on either side of the ship or at the front of the ship, facing the sea, and the rooms are similar to suites in a luxury hotel.
Suite guests can enjoy perks like complimentary champagne, pastries, daily fresh fruit, priority boarding and disembarkation, priority luggage delivery, upgraded bath products, invitation to the captain’s private cocktail party, two opportunities for complimentary dining in the specialty restaurant on board, and private butler service.
The suite itself includes a bathroom with a bathtub and a living room, as well as a mini bar, hairdryer, TV, telephone, computer port, vanity, and a desk with power outlets for laptops. There is also a sofa bed.
You can say it’s very comfortable and luxurious. A suite can generally accommodate 3-4 guests.
Since Mist City Arts and Sciences University is arranging for over twenty students to enjoy this luxury cruise tour, Wen Ruohan will need to book 5-6 suites.
About half an hour later, Wen Ruohan finally succeeded in placing the order.
