Mist City Arts and Science University has dozens of departments and hundreds of majors. Not all of them can develop completely, but each should at least get a fair share of resources. Otherwise, there would surely be grievances among the students and teachers of the underserved departments.
Imagine a situation where one department receives tens of millions or even up to a billion in funds for teaching and research, while another department gets only the bare minimum. The latter will inevitably struggle to make any achievements and will gradually decline.
Eventually, when enrollment season comes, the department will not attract enough applications. Fewer students mean fewer chances of producing excellent graduates. Year after year, this department would fade into oblivion. Before Principal Ding even notices, the department could be on its deathbed.
Ding Yue doesn’t want to see such a situation happening.
After all, Mist City Arts and Science University aspires to be a leading comprehensive university in the world. It would be entirely unbalanced if only departments like mechanical engineering and computer science are able to develop rapidly.
"Wen Ruohan, I need you to do something else. Make a list of our university’s weaker departments such as the Aerospace Academy and present it in a report for me."
Ding Yue gave Wen Ruohan another task.
"Alright Principal Ding!" With that, Wen Ruohan stretched out her hand to take her phone back from Principal Ding.
Ding Yue was somewhat taken aback by Wen Ruohan’s abrupt move. However, he had pretty much finished going through the Aerospace Academy’s data earlier.
In summary, although the department had a reasonable number of students, it had weak faculty and low teaching funds.
These are the current shortcomings of the Aerospace Academy.
But they do have one advantage—that is, the students from this major are genuinely passionate. If they weren’t, why would they choose the aerospace major at Mist City Arts and Science University?
Having passionate students is a good thing, because when given the right push by Ding Yue, these students might turn out to be highly capable and talented learners.
Immediately after Ding Yue finished speaking to Wen Ruohan, the office door swung open.
"Principal Ding, I apologize for making you wait. I had a biological research to attend this afternoon."
The one who entered was none other than the owner of the office, Professor Yang Kaining.
"Professor Yang, hello. I’m sorry to disturb you again," Ding Yue warmly greeted Professor Yang Kaining with a smile, shaking his hand.
"Let me introduce you. This is Principal Xu Dongcheng from Westlight University, a well-known private university in Xia Country."
Ding Yue then introduced Xu Dongcheng to Professor Yang Kaining.
"Oh? Westlight University, I’ve heard of it." Upon Ding Yue’s introduction, Professor Yang Kaining turned his attention to Xu Dongcheng. "Hello, Principal Xu."

After the introductions and pleasantries, Professor Yang Kaining quickly got to the point, "Principal Ding, you mentioned on Whatsapp that you needed to see me about something important, which prompted you to fly here from Xia Country—an over ten-hour flight. What is it about?"

DIng Yue was about to say grueling.
