Ding Xiaoyou spoke proudly, rolling her eyes at her older brother, Ding Yue.
"Principal Ding, this energy chemistry research lab, is the one you purchased from Nanyang Technological University, right?"
After taking a comprehensive look at the lab, Xiao Wenxing turned around to ask Ding Yue.
Being the Director of the Education Department, Xiao Wenxing was naturally aware that Mist City Arts and Science University had purchased the world’s most advanced energy chemistry research laboratory from Nanyang Technological University.
"Yes, that’s the one. It cost over a hundred million." Ding Yue nodded and answered.
Ding Xiaoyou led Director Xiao Wenxing and her brother Ding Yue to her primary experimental console.
The energy chemistry lab had several experimental platforms. Ding Xiaoyou had developed her graphene battery at this console, hence she called it the primary experimental console.
Upon arriving in front of the console, Ding Yue, looking at the immaculate workspace, curiously asked, "Xiao You, where is it?"
"Of course, I have put it away. This is the first graphene battery I developed, so it needs careful storage."
Ding Xiaoyou glared at her older brother Ding Yue, and then stepped forward to press a button on the experimental console.
Accompanied by a slight sound of machinery, a small box-like object emerged from a five-centimeter-wide crack in the upper-right corner of the console.
Ding Yue stepped forward, guessing that the object in the small box was Ding Xiaoyou’s graphene battery.

Therefore, they could only observe the small box from the side.

"What, I can’t touch it now?" Ding Yue rolled his eyes. This graphene battery his sister made was quite different from what he had imagined.

Plus, its mesh structure allows the electrode material made from graphene to have plenty of holes, thus making cation activity more abundant."
Whether Director Xiao understood Ding Xiaoyou’s explanation was unknown, but Wen Ruohan, as well as Director Xiao’s assistant, certainly didn’t.
Ding Yue did understand, though.
After all, Ding Yue studied physics and had knowledge about graphene structure and electrons.
"Xiao You, keep it simple for Director Xiao." Ding Yue knocked on his sister’s head, then turned to Director Xiao and explained, "Director Xiao, if we look at the charging and discharging process of a battery from a microscopic point of view, it’s just a process of "embedding" and "removing" cations in the electrode.
So, if there are more holes in the electrode material, this process will be faster. From a macro perspective, it shows up as a faster charging and discharging speed of the battery.

Ding Yue’s explanation was logical. After listening carefully, Director Xiao understood what he meant.
But Wen Ruohan still didn’t quite get it.
What are cations, embedding, disengaging, holes, electrode materials, etc? Wen Ruohan’s head was buzzing from confusion.
"How much faster can it be?"
Director Xiao Wenxing asked again.
This was also a question Ding Yue was very interested in and a core issue.
Where are the advantages of graphene battery technology compared with other battery technologies? It should be reflected in how much faster the charging speed is, what the energy efficiency is like, and what is the duration of the battery?
