When the sun was high, the light penetrated the curtains into the room, and Faye sighed from deep within as she returned from her dreams to reality.
Madame Gaiate sat up with a sigh at the bottom of her heart, rose from her bed, and walked to the window. From the second floor of the manor, she looked out to see the female Guards from the Benevolent Church still standing at the entrance of the estate. These women from the highlands of the North possessed a formidable physique that their southern counterparts could not match.
On the high tower within the estate’s outer walls, the Forest Guards from The Great Forest Land were observing the surroundings, accompanied by War Eagles or Black Panthers, serving as excellent Scouts.
In the vast courtyard, noble girls from Farole and Sydney were receiving systematic training from the old butler of the Mowish family.
Just another ordinary day.
Eventually, Faye let the curtains fall and walked to the door. The Rabbitfolk maid Toby had already opened her room door, having heard her footsteps; they would never let their mistress handle such tasks themselves.
"Where are my sisters?"
Upon hearing this, Faye sighed internally— the young lady had been full of worries lately, unable to dream, whereas her sisters had already made contact with their descendants.
It is said that this was because a descendant of Clovis had invented a potion that, once consumed, would allow experiencing the past through ancestral genes recorded in their DNA.
Clovis had asked that descendant, and he said, normally, it merely allowed one to immerse themselves in that stretch of past time, which had already been set in history. To be precise, it was only possible for their generation; neither their children nor their parents could do the same.
Faye did not understand what cruel painting fate had drawn; why could her sisters meet their descendants while she still could not?

Faye questioned herself more than once in the deserted corridors. In the future, could it be that because of wars or epidemics, the bloodline of Faye and Malin would ultimately be severed?

"What are you laughing at, you’re a pregnant lady too!" the group on the sofa chorused with laughter.
Faye’s mood had been better lately.
After finishing the meal and while enjoying the dessert, Nova noticed Faye chatting with Maya.
Seemingly in good spirits, which also made her feel a bit better.
Although she had not yet met her descendants, her spirits had finally improved under everyone’s persuasion and the analysis from Clovis and Rewo, to the point where it had been several days since she’d been seen distraught.
"Have Clovis and Rewo not returned yet?" Jessica asked during the meal.
"Clovis is at Carterburg; her father is still bedridden. Rewo is managing her pharmaceutical group, as she is physically weak, I’m considering asking Matilda to go help her," Faye responded, then turned to Nova: "Nova, how is your troop’s training going, do I need to find some instructors from Sydney or have Malin bring some from the North?"
"That won’t be necessary, the training manual left by the military of Malin has been in trial use for a month now, and it’s working well; my nobles even use this method to train their own children," Nova smiled and shook her head—not that she looked down on these North instructors, but because the nobles of the Farole military were now obsessed with the manual Malin gave them, a closely guarded secret among smaller families, now used to train regular soldiers.
Really, such extravagance.
It’s interesting, they really don’t know how Malin equips the warriors in the North and East who are fighting against Chaos.
Honestly, Nova had never seen a magnate as generous as Malin, the Thainan idiom "enjoys helping others" seemed tailored just for Malin.
Of course, Nova understood, as long as defense plans were completed in the hotspots of the North and East, Chaos would not be able to cross these areas and pose a threat to Sydney and Farole.
