"Mom, let it go." Yi held her mom’s arm, still trying to persuade her.
Shaohua brought their family here for lunch, but they arrived late and all the good seats were reserved.
Mom saw a seat by the window on the second floor that she really liked, but unfortunately, it was reserved by someone else.
Mom had a stubborn and domineering personality; no matter what the manager said, she wouldn’t listen.
"Mrs. Song, the gentleman is not coming, so you can now sit at that table," the manager responded with a smile.
"Are you messing with me?! No one reserved that table, you just don’t want to give it to me!" Mom Song raised her hand and slapped the manager in the face, furious that a mere manager dared to mess with her.
"Mom, what are you doing!" Yi hurriedly grabbed her mom’s hand to prevent her from hitting again.
"Mrs. Song, I’m not messing with you. That gentleman just left," the manager covered his face and explained patiently.
The waitstaff nearby saw the manager being hit and wanted to help but feared losing their job.

"I’m very sorry; my mom is just a bit impatient!" Yi quickly apologized to the manager, worried that the situation would escalate.

"I reserved that table. I gave it up because I heard my cousin wanted to sit there." Hu Yuxi’s voice arrived before he did, slowly walking in and standing beside the manager.
