Tian Xingyun noticed Song Yi out of the corner of her eye and felt Song Yi’s unusual gaze fixated on her.
She withdrew her gaze and said to him, "Why do you have time to come see Tianxin today?"
Her tone carried a hint of complaint, as he hadn’t come to see the child for several days.
Their daughter often called out for her father, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"I’m not very busy today, so I came by," Huo Shaohua explained, not wanting her to misunderstand that he had been alone with Song Yi these past few days.
He had been busy with company matters for the past three to four days and had even stayed at the company.
He only saw Song Yi when he returned to the villa to freshen up; she had indeed changed.
It was as if she had truly let go of everything and reverted to the Song Yi she used to be.
"Then can you watch Tianxin for me? I need to go out to deliver some flowers," Tian Xingyun said, picking up a bouquet, glancing at the address in her book, and grabbing her phone as she prepared to leave.
"Sure, be careful," Huo Shaohua reminded her, fearing she might encounter the same issues as last time.
Tian Xingyun nodded, holding the flowers as she walked to face Song Yi. "Miss Song, the shop is a bit messy, I hope you don’t mind. Please rest in the inner room where there are no lilies."
"Alright, go on with your work," Song Yi smiled and nodded, accepting Tian Xingyun’s kindness.
Tian Xingyun left with the flowers, leaving only Huo Shaohua, Song Yi, and Tianxin in the shop.
Aunt Liu and Ping had gone out shopping and wouldn’t be back for a while.
"Sweetie, Daddy missed you so much," Huo Shaohua said happily, holding Tianxin while sitting on a stool and playing with her.
"Shaohua, can I hold Tianxin?" Song Yi asked nervously, really wanting to hold Shaohua’s daughter.
"Sure," Huo Shaohua agreed.
Song Yi, nervous yet inexplicably happy, slowly walked over to him.
She placed her bag on the sofa and bent over, reaching out to hold Tianxin.
"Sweetie, let Auntie Song Yi hold you, okay?" Huo Shaohua said gently to Tianxin, handing her over to Song Yi.
Song Yi nervously took the child, who was chubbier than she had imagined.
Looking down at Tianxin in her arms, the child did not seem to reject her.
Giggling and biting her fingers, one of her small hands clung to Song Yi’s clothes.
"So obedient," Song Yi felt her heart melt by this little girl.
"She is very obedient."
"Really very obedient." Song Yi looked at Tianxin, and her desire for a child of her own grew stronger.
Huo Shaohua looked at Song Yi holding the child with a complex expression; if she hadn’t had two abortions back then, their oldest child would have been five by now.
Suddenly, Song Yi frowned, looking down at Tianxin.
She smelled a foul odor. "Shaohua, do you smell something bad?"
"The little girl probably pooped," Huo Shaohua said confidently.
"What do I do? I don’t know how to change a diaper..." Song Yi’s face turned pale as she looked at Tianxin with disdain.
"Hold her, I’ll go get a diaper." Huo Shaohua said, getting up and walking to the back room.
As soon as Huo Shaohua went inside, Song Yi’s gaze turned cold.
She walked to the round sofa, bent over, and put Tianxin down from a distance.
Disgusting child, pooping while being held by her.
Tianxin fell onto the sofa, bounced a little, and then lay there steadily.
"Waaa~" Frightened, Tianxin immediately started crying.
"Shaohua, did you get it? Hurry, Tianxin is crying," Song Yi bent over, pretending to soothe Tianxin.
"Coming," Huo Shaohua said, his expression showing a hint of a smile, but the diaper in his hand was already crumpled.
