Eleanor immediately turned to look at him with tearful eyes.

Atop the mountain of corpses and sea of blood, a young man with his torso bare leaned against the wall, his hands behind his head, gazing at the ceiling, lost in thought.
Hearing the commotion at the door, he finally snapped back to reality.
Upon seeing the dense crowd before him, with eyes full of shock and complexity, he momentarily froze and then instinctively raised his hand in greeting.
