I ground my teeth in frustration as I watched Brandon turn to pay loving attention to the dog.
“Good job...” he complimented the dog as he placed his large hand on top of the dog’s head and began petting it.
The aggressive black dog that wouldn’t stop barking and baring its fangs at me just a moment ago had turned into a meek little puppy now that Bradon was present. It was even wagging its short tail now that it sat down to be petted. The adorable scene that unfolded right in front of me would have been touching had I not been hanging upside down with my feet tied together right up in the air.
“Bradon...can you let me down now?” I asked while pleading sweetly.
Since acting demanding didn’t seem to work with him at all. I quickly switched to the my ‘poor woman in distress’ mode with the hope that it may work better against him. Bradon continued stroking the dog’s head for a bit as it made cute whimpering sounds in its throat before turning his attention back to me.
“I told you not to leave the mansion,” he stated flatly.
My lips curved into a tight smile to hide the fact that I just wanted to yell at him. Of course, I knew what he said and that I had gone against his word. However, I didn’t need him rubbing that in my face right now.
“I’m sorry...can you please let me down now?” I requested in a small voice.
I made a scoffing sound as Bradon clearly ignored my request and turned his attention back to complimenting and playing with his dog. For the countless time, I felt like I was talking to a tall and unresponsive wall whenever I spoke to him. He wouldn’t listen to any of my requests, and he wouldn’t go along with anything that I wanted. In all my years of being alive, I have never met a man who was this hard to communicate with and convince.
“Stop ignoring me! Let me down now!” I yelled loudly as I began struggling and swaying my body in midair.
Suddenly the dog went completely silent and then Bradon slowly stood up from his crouching position from when he was playing with the Doberman. A shiver ran through my body as he turned to face me again. My mouth immediately clamped shut as I could sense his anger as he stared at me with his cold blue eyes.
“You know...” he murmured as he took a step closer to me.
A second later his face was right in front of mine and his blue eyes were staring directly into mine. For a moment, I thought that my heart had stopped beating as I realized the sudden change in him that scared me. I sucked in a breath before biting on the inside of my lower lip to keep it from quivering as I felt the heat of his fingertip stroking the side of my face. I winced as his fingers slowly stroked upward from my cheek to the tip of my chin before proceeding to draw a line along the side of my neck.
“It’s really taking a lot of effort to stop myself from strangling you right now...” he hissed at me.
My entire face when numb when I noticed that he was probably not making some kind of sick joke. Although I knew that he needed to keep me alive, it did occur to me that he was one crazy man so he might end up doing whatever he wanted in the spur of the moment as well. Death as my punishment for trying to run away wasn’t really factored into one of the scenarios if my plan was to fail.
“I’m sorry. Please, just let me down...” I begged in a whisper, and I could hear my voice shaking.
“You sound much sweeter when you beg. You should beg me some more...” he whispered as he brought his lips very close to mine.
I was too confused with what was going on to process the fact that Bradon had abruptly pressed his lips against mine at first. The kiss felt so out of place and unexpected that I didn’t know how to react at all. His lips felt warm yet extremely aggressive as he crushed them against mine. I had to say that it was my first time being kissed while hanging upside down. As his lips kissed mine repeatedly from various angles while his large hand moved to hold the back of my head, I found out that it didn’t feel too bad at all.
“Mhmm...” I made a whimpering sound in my throat when I felt the wet tip of his tongue prodding my lips open.
The wet heat of his kiss filled my mouth as he thrusted his tongue between my lips and into the depths of my mouth. His tongue began grinding against mine as I felt my core start to throb. As always, his kiss felt captivating and intoxicating at the same time. It made me feel like I had been captured in a complex web where there was no route of escape. He kissed me again from a different angle as his tongue teased mine into a passionate date. My breath quickened and I could feel my core getting hotter.
“Brad...Ahh...” I whimpered his name before moaning when he freed my lips for a moment.
His lips captured mine again while his tongue thrusted into my mouth again and without hesitation. Our kiss rapidly deepened as we swirled our tongues against each other. I couldn’t believe that he was kissing me like this, but I couldn’t stop my body from responding to him. My mind felt foggy, and I felt so confused.
I was panting wildly, and my eyes were watery from the passion of the wet kisses that we had just shared. My lips felt swollen and tingly when he finally let go of them. He stared at me, and I could read the desire dancing in the depth of his eyes for a moment before his blue eyes turned cold and emotionless again.
