Facing three people at the Qi Refining 12th Layer, Peter Brown didn’t take them seriously. He had killed plenty of experts at the Foundation Establishment Level, so these few really didn’t measure up in his eyes.
The sound of three strikes rang out as Peter stood there, taking their attacks head-on.
However, after the bombardment, Peter, glowing brilliantly, was unscathed. Looking at the three assailants, as he withdrew his sword, two of the Qi Refining 12th Layer individuals were already clutching at their throats, toppling backward with faces full of terror.
In his assault, Peter was rather unscrupulous. He was willing to endure their attacks if it meant taking them out.
Against opponents below the Foundation Establishment stage, this combat tactic employed by Peter was simply unbeatable. Even after taking blows from three individuals, the two with the highest cultivation levels had already collapsed.
While Daniel Clarkson was as yet unharmed, the deep-rooted fear in his eyes as he looked at Peter was unmistakable. He could hardly believe that Peter, who was merely at the Qi Refining Eleventh Layer, could be so awesome, capable of effortlessly disposing of three people with superior cultivation levels.
The Clarkson Clan had everything perfectly calculated, setting various traps for Peter. They even considered Maurren Smith as their secret weapon. But to Daniel’s surprise, Peter was incredibly astute and managed to circumvent everything, making Maurren utterly useless and knocking down his three top fighters almost instantly.
Gazing at the two individuals who fell lifeless to the ground, Daniel seemed even more frenzied. He looked at Maurren, who was standing beside Peter, and yelled, "Die!"
Peter wasn’t sure how he had done it, but he suddenly felt an overwhelming surge of power radiating from Maurren.
Without giving it a second thought, Peter swiftly teleported to a distant location.
Immediately after, a shocking explosion resounded from behind him.
Despite having moved to a safe distance, the force of the explosion still sent Peter flying far away. If not for his strong defense, Peter would have undoubtedly perished this time.
Looking back at the scene, Maurren had been completely obliterated, while Daniel had already absconded to a distant place.
That kid actually still had this trick up his sleeve!
Peter shivered at the close call. He hadn’t considered that there remained a much more potent strategy in play. If his defense hadn’t been strong enough, he would be finished today.
At this point, Peter realized he had been taught a lesson by the Clarkson Clan. From now on, he would need to be much more vigilant.
With a snort, Peter teleported in front of Daniel. Without saying a word, he swung his fist at Daniel.
His punch hit Daniel’s head with such force that it exploded on impact.
With another swift kick, Daniel’s body was blasted into smithereens in mid-air.
Upon closer inspection, Peter shook his head. Maurren’s body had already been through some kind of modification, embedded with a highly explosive magical weapon.
Recounting Daniel’s facial expression change, Peter shivered. Daniel clearly had plenty of women at his disposal, why would he care for Maurren? His anger was excessively over the top. He likely feigned it to lull Peter into a false sense of security, intending to annihilate him with the explosion.
It now seemed that Maurren had long since been a sacrificial pawn for them!
Picking up the items scattered on the ground, Peter couldn’t help but shake his head, his curiosity about the Clarkson Clan piqued further.
If it hadn’t been for him today, anyone else would have been doomed.
