Summoned to a Fantasy World With a Modern Military System Chapter 26

[You have gained a total of 2600 EXP!]

[You have levelled up!]

[Tier 3 of Armory has been unlocked! New Recon Capabilities are now available!]

Allen’s first instinct was to ignore the notification and let the screens disappear on their own.

His only focus was on clearing out the knights. Racking up EXP was the most important task right now, after all.

Though when the system narrated the last line out, it couldn’t help but catch his attention.

New recon capabilities huh? he thought to himself, looking at the translucent screen in front of him.

Show the armory, he said internally.

[M9 Semi-Automatic Pistol]

[Tactical Elbow Pads]

[Binoculars (300m Range)]

[PNV-57 Nightvision Goggles]

[Black Hornet Nano Drone] ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✶𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮✶𝓷𝓮𝓽

Allen’s eyes scanned all the text on the screens carefully. He had gained a new weapon and defensive equipment as well but that didn’t interest him at all at this point.

He was instead particularly drawn toward the Black Hornet Nano Drone.

System, what are the specifications of this drone? he asked.

[The Black Hornet Nano drone has a maximum range of two kilometers with an endurance of thirty minutes. It has a speed of thirteen meters per second and a maximum flight ceiling of five hundred meters.]

[It contains three cameras. One placed at a ninety-degree angle looking straight down. One looking at the front and one at a forty-five-degree angle.]

The chunks of information were displayed to him on the system’s translucent screen, along with the system reading it out loud to him in an emotionless voice.

It was important for Allen to ask this. After all, even if he was a military geek, it was impossible to expect he would know about every single weapon in existence.

How would this be used though? How would I control it and what about the feed coming from the cameras? Will you provide the control systems and screens for it as well?

[Physical screens and control systems can be bought from the store. However, by default the drone is controlled through the system based on your commands. The feed from the drone cameras would be displayed to you on the system screens.]

Well, that is neat. I was a bit troubled about how I would get the time to use it while being in an active battle.

"Hmm, this sure opens up a lot of possibilities. I finally have some amount of recon with me," Allen said to himself, lost in his thoughts.

Just then another squad of knights charged at him.

"Die you fucking monster!" they screamed. By now Allen’s existence was being spread around in both the armies.

It was the existence of a man no less than a monster who had the capabilities to kill anyone within the blink of an eye.

"Tch. Can’t you people see I’m busy right now?" Allen mumbled to himself, his frustration clear in his voice.

He turned around, pointing the MP5 toward them. A clicking sound reverberated, and then came the loud crackling which rained hell.

Allen had switched to full auto again out of frustration and to take them out quickly.

"Sigh, I wasted bullets again," he said to himself, letting out a sigh.

"How many bullets do I have left?" he asked out loud.

"Fuck that’s really low," he cursed. "I presume I don’t have any CP left to buy more?"

[Correct. You currently have 0 CP.]

"Aren’t there any ways to get CP other than through completing quests?" he asked.

[No. At your current level, outside of completing quests there is no way to gain CP. Special events are an exception to this condition.]

"Hm? What are special events?"

[That is classified information.]

"Of course it is," Allen mumbled, letting out a sigh. "Then can you tell me what you mean that there aren’t any options at my current level? Does this mean there are other options? If yes, then what are they?"

[Yes, I can indeed tell you that.]

[Once you reach level 5, you can passively gain CP by "Field Analysis".]

[Through Field Analysis the system studies your environment to collect data and rewards you with CP the longer you stay in hostile environments.]

"I see. Why does it only unlock at level 5 though?" Allen asked.

[The system waits till the user is armed and strong enough to survive in most hostile environments. Otherwise, it poses a risk to the user’s life.]

"Hmm, I do understand that reasoning. After all, if it was available right now I would be dropping myself into hostile zones even though I couldn’t survive."

"Although it is quite a missed opportunity. I am currently in a hostile zone. Can’t even imagine the amount of CP I would’ve gotten," Allen said, talking to himself for the most part.

[You currently cannot survive in a hostile environment. That is why the system has provided you with emergency buffs to protect your life.]

"Okay okay I understand! Not blaming you or anything," he clarified.

Sigh, I’ll have to be careful about how I spend the bullets from now on I guess. No full auto it is, Allen thought to himself, a hint of disappointment tracing over him.

"Anyway, that’s not the main focus right now," he said out loud, a slight smile spreading over his face.

"Deploy the drone," he said and spread his palm open.

There on top of his palm, he suddenly felt a little weight as the drone materialized. It was in a shape similar to that of a helicopter, with the only difference being its size.

It was barely the size of a thumb.

At the same time, a translucent window opened before Allen’s eyes, indicating the telemetry of the drone such as altitude, attitude, speed, battery, etc.

"How do I control this?" he asked out loud.

[To control the drone you have to think about how you want it to move, or give the system a command on operating it a certain way.]

I see. That sure is pretty neat. Then... He concentrated his thoughts, focusing his attention completely on the drone.

Ascend to a height of five hundred meters and hover there.

He thought, and the rotors on the drone spun into life.

A/N - I know I’m uploading only 1 Chapter a day for the most part, and yeah I don’t like that either. But I have my college exams going so kinda in a tough spot. It’ll be good after the 25th though, since I’ll have enough time to write peacefully and not while I’m sleep deprived for two days and still have to pull an all nighter for the chemistry exam tomorrow.
