Since he had to wait for Selena to return to continue with their experiment, Nathan visited the Sleeping Garden's base to make a deal with Sonia.
It appeared both Bella and Evelyn were curious as to what kind of matter that made Nathan willing to lower his head.
"Ehm? Is there a need for all of you to be here?" Nathan rubbed his cheek, looking at Bella and Evelyn.
"Come on, big guy. It's fine, isn't it? You're currently the one helping us with the Divine Hand. Can't I lend you a hand for your problem as well? I don't want to take everything for granted." Bella winked playfully.
Evelyn looked away, saying, "You're a member of the Sleeping Garden. Just like the others, your problem is my problem."
"…" Nathan pinched the bridge of his nose. "Well, I don't think you will be of any help. I just want Sonia to monitor Selena's movement a bit."
"What is this? Monitor your girl? Are you having a fight? Is she cheating on you?" Bella's eyes flashed as if she was ready for gossip.
Nathan shook his head. "No. Her uncle might come to assassinate her. While I do want to trust her, we have basically pushed him to the corner, so whatever he is planning to do might just surpass our imagination.
"So, I want to at least ensure her safety. If Sonia can monitor her for a month or two, it will be great. I can pay the price."
"My gosh." Bella pouted. "I thought it was something serious."
"It's something serious." Nathan frowned, wondering why Bella treated it as if nothing big happened.
"It's not." Bella walked away, fetching a certain document on the shelf. She tossed it to the table for Nathan to see.
"What is this?" Nathan carefully looked at the document.
"When we were investigating you, we also checked the people around you. When it was her turn, we learned a bit more about the Ashton family. Apparently, the acting count of the Ashton family had made several contacts with an assassin group called Underdog. If he is going to make his move, it will be through them."
"…" Nathan blinked a few times. He knew they would definitely investigate him, but he never thought they would be checking everything this thoroughly.
"Do you want me to clean them up?" Sonia asked. "I don't think they're a big deal. Their strongest is only at the master level. He is probably trying to surround her with multiple master level summoners to kill her."
Nathan shook his head. "If that's the case, can you just monitor them? I mean, if the information is accurate, I believe that Selena still has the chance to win. If not, I and a few more people are ready to help. I'm just worried they have a hidden trump card, such as a grandmaster level summoner."
"Oh." Sonia nodded. "Revenge is best if it's done with one's own hand."
Nathan smiled wryly. "Thanks."
"Well, you're going to pay a price, right?" Sonia glanced at Bella.
"Yeah. If you're going to pay a price, there's something we'll be doing pretty soon." Bella grabbed another document.
"What is this mission?"
"It's a mission that will be done by the entire organization, including Neyeid, Christopher, and Revon. Our target this time is the Black Cat Organization."
"Black Cat Organization?" He frowned. He remembered this organization as he had been attacked by them twice. The first one was from the beginning of the school year, while the second time was during the Dragon King's mission.
"Yep. I think you already know where this is going. The reason the Black Cat Organization was able to attack your academy was because of the Divine Hand. They actually lured your principal away before attacking.
"It appeared that was actually a pilot attempt to test the defense of the academy, which ended up becoming their plan to kidnap the students to turn them into aliens."
Nathan looked down. He never made a big deal about it, but he never thought everything was actually connected to each other. "So, you want to attack the Black Cat Organization?"
"Yep. We've located all their branches and headquarters. Evelyn has set up the teleportation circle in each location and we'll eradicate them once we're ready.
"If we attack them right now, the Divine Hand will be wary of us for a while, but since our original plan is to attack them in three to four months, they will stop worrying about us after some time.
"Destroying the Black Cat Organization is basically sealing their movements for the next few months. And we'll use that time to observe their movements, especially those known members, before raiding their headquarters. That's the general idea. What do you think?"
Nathan carefully considered the plan. It might work as long as they did it swiftly. "The time limit of that operation will be a day… no, a single night. After that, we have to immediately observe the movement of those known members to ensure they're not running away. They're our only clues after all."
"So, you're in this?" Bella smiled.
"Well, the faster we do it, the better. When do you plan to raid them?" Nathan asked.
"Ah!" It appeared they were actually waiting for him. Nathan thought for a minute. "Five days from now."
Considering Sonia would monitor Selena after that, it would be better if he finished the experiment first. After all, there was a chance Sonia would monitor Sasha as well.
Although he believed the fairy queen was able to hide them, he just didn't want a variable in his plan.
"Sure. There's no problem with the schedule." Bella turned to Evelyn for confirmation.
Evelyn nodded in agreement. "Five days later, once the night comes, gather again in the base. We'll eradicate the Black Cat Organization. Leave not a single one of them alive."
"Understood." Nathan nodded. "In that case, I will take my leave."
"Sure. Take care of yourself and see you in five days." Bella waved her hand while Evelyn sent him off.
