"Raaaa!" The alien screamed while holding its shoulder.
Murmur smiled and examined the injured alien before deciding his next course of action. "Demonic Sword Style, Second Step, Demonic Dance."
Murmur struck the alien's back. Meanwhile, Noelle did the same thing but on the alien's front.
The alien gritted its teeth while forcing the alien to focus on her.
At the same time, lower-level aliens surrounded them and started coming toward them, but the war horseman charged his ena into his sword.
When he waved his sword, the ena swirled violently, creating a circular gale that not only pushed the aliens back but also cut them once or twice.
Still, the war horseman's body was shaking as its ena was depleting fast. It didn't have a lot of time left, so Murmur and Noelle had to be fast.
Both of them struck the alien with everything they had, but not a single wound was fatal enough for the alien. In addition, those wounds would gradually heal, so they needed to deliver a killing blow.
"We're going to step up our performance!" Murmur shouted.
"Yes." Noelle nodded. Both of their swords created a faint red light.
The warrior class alien gritted its teeth, trying to see who made the first move. At the very least, he had to stop one of them with his remaining arm.
"Demonic Sword Style, Third Step, Infinite Flame!" Murmur was the first one to swing his sword. He rapidly unleashed one slash after another, each shooting a sword strike.
The alien blocked it with its arms, leaving behind only some small burning wounds. Still, it was a good, suppressing attack.
Noelle leaped toward the alien.
"!!!" The alien hurriedly turned around just to make sure he knew what Noelle was trying to do.
To his surprise, Noelle actually stepped on the alien's arm. The alien was confused because he couldn't see through Noel's goal.
"Heh!" Murmur smiled. "Demonic Sword Style, Fourth Step, Hell Curtain!"
Murmur slashed upward as a wall of flame rose high, cutting down everything in its way.
That attack was actually strong enough to cut the entire arm. It made Alien wonder why Murmur hadn't used that attack this whole time.
The answer was simple. It took so much ena to unleash it. In his current state, he couldn't really use it easily. At most, he could only use it four times before he ran out of energy. In other words, that single attack contained a fourth of his ena.
With his current condition, he could at least use one more and use the remaining ena to escape.
However, Noelle actually surpassed his imagination.
When the arm was about to go down, Noelle leaped into the air. Her sword was glowing red, much brighter than Murmur's.
Instead of using the same sword style as Murmur's, Noelle actually switched back to the sword style she was most familiar with.
"Flamante Family Sword Style, Ezentel."
She released a horizontal sword strike that hit the alien's neck. Suddenly, several flames flared up, creating several lines perpendicular to the main sword strike.
"Raaaa!" The alien screamed in pain as a part of its neck was cut and scorched. Still, it wasn't enough to cut him down.
The alien headbutted Noelle with its massive head, knocking her to the ground.
"It's my turn then!" Murmur leaped toward the neck. "Demonic Sword Style, Fourth Step…"
The alien hurriedly turned its head around, trying to stop Murmur.
To the alien's surprise, he heard Murmur saying, "I'm just joking."
"Demonic Sword Style, Sword Blaze!"
He struck the alien's head down so that it couldn't tilt its head anymore instead of injuring it.
And that was when Noelle soared once again into the air, even though blood covered her left eye. She gritted her teeth while gathering her strength into this one strike.
"Flamante Family Sword Style, Einel!"
She struck the alien's neck one more time, taking advantage of the previous wound to widen it and ultimately sliced its neck.
"Ra—!" The alien couldn't finish its scream before the head rolled on the ground.
"Changing it back to your family's sword style, huh? Not bad." Murmur smirked. "Though we have to get away—!"
The aliens were pushed back by a massive shock wave. Both Noelle and Murmur couldn't help but glance at the war horseman, who was already moving forward, opening their escape route. Without saying anything, he was able to tell them to follow him with that gallant back of his.
Noelle and Murmur exchanged nods as they hopped to Noelle's horse.
"We met again!" Murmur smiled and patted the dark knight, who was the true rider.
They followed the war horseman breaking through the enemy's rank. Even though he was injured after fighting so many aliens and exhausted after using too many abilities, the war horseman continued onward until he opened up the path.
The ferocity he had been using erupted like a roar before dispersing into the air as the war horseman became too tired to even hold his sword.
"!!!" Murmur and Noelle wanted to say something, but seeing how the war horseman just gave them a thumbs up, they clenched their hands.
He only wanted to tell them one thing, 'Just go on, there's no need for thanks,' as he fell to the ground.
Both of them turned solemn. Even if the war horseman didn't want to hear it, both of them muttered the same thing in their hearts. 'Thank you.'
Noelle recalled the war horseman as they climbed back to their original position.
On the other side of the hill, Risa was already flying in the sky with a crown on her head.
"All of you will die here." Risa raised both hands. There was no need for the water from Amphitrite anymore. The blood from all the aliens they took down was enough to create seven tornadoes.
The seven tornadoes moved unpredictably. They sucked in aliens and shredded them apart inside before getting thrown away lifelessly.
It took so much ena to maintain that tornado, especially with that amount of blood, but Risa didn't care.
"Manifest and crush my enemy. Blood storm!"
