"I'm not fighting alone." Nathan grinned. While gritting his teeth, he stood back up while shouting, "Fenrir. Can you keep going?"
Fenrir endured his own pain and rose back up. "A foolish question."
Nathan looked around, noticing that Flora was actually moving down as though she wanted to take down the lower-level aliens. Meanwhile, Alavenya and Noelle kept their eyes on the mutant. It seemed they knew their own roles. No, he realized Selena was the one giving the instruction.
Nathan waved his hand while shouting, "We'll end this battle soon! Anubis, heal everyone. There's no need to conserve your energy anymore. Fenrir restrains our enemy. Alavenya, tell your beetle queen and dark butterfly to exchange positions with Jinwu.
"The rest of you, follow my lead!"
"Understood." All of them replied in unison.
"Raaa!" The mutant didn't understand what was going on, but there was no way he would let Nathan turn around the situation.
He punched Nathan with all his strength, but Fenrir intercepted it with all his strength. He was pushed back, but suddenly, a huge glaive struck the fist, ultimately stopping it.
"Heh." Fenrir grinned, glancing at the lamia who had just come.
The alien didn't stop. He originally looked like a lizard, so when his fist was stopped, he opened it and used his claws to slash them.
Fenrir had been hurt a lot by this trick, but it wouldn't work anymore. Two bullets hit the claws, but without any apparent force.
The alien was confused for a moment, but soon Murmur and Noelle leaped toward the claws and struck it with their swords at the same time, knocking it back.
Alavenya jumped to the alien's stomach. "Raging Dragon Claw."
The claws struck the stomach and wanted to shred it apart, but to her surprise, the claws couldn't pierce through the skin.
"So hard?" Alavenya looked surprised, wondering how she was able to shatter that half-destroyed arm earlier.
"Alavenya. Wait until I freeze it. That alien is too tough." Nathan warned her.
The mutant took advantage of it to pull its stomach back before pushing it forward to launch her away. Fortunately, the cat-girl grabbed her at the last moment and dragged her away.
Two tentacles tried to chase after them, but Nathan stood in their way, forcing them to stop.
It then used the tail to slap Nathan away. Jinwu descended and grabbed Nathan with his talon before flying up.
"Drop me on top of his head!"
Jinwu followed his instruction. The mutant wouldn't allow Nathan to freeze his head, so he tilted its body forward so that Nathan would pass him. Nathan could step on the air to change his target, but his true target was the body all along.
The moment he landed on top of the mutant's back, he placed his hand on his skin. "Freeze!"
"!!!" The mutant shook its body to stop Nathan. The tail even came back to slap him away.
Jinwu flew straight toward the tail and used his own body to block the tail, even if it meant slapping him down on the ground. At the very least, Nathan was still fine. Besides, Jinwu's condition had recovered after Nathan's order to heal everyone.
"I can't attack it!" Jinwu shouted. Because of the tail, he couldn't attack the frozen part anymore, so they needed to create another opportunity to attack.
But they weren't alone anymore.
"We're here." Murmur smirked. "Demonic Sword Style, Sword Blaze."
"Flamante Family Sword Style, Ezentel."
Their sword strike flared up and hit the frozen part of the body, shattering it.
"Raaa!" The alien screamed in pain. It spun its body to hit the two swordsmen, but Fenrir bit his arm while the lamia struck the tail.
"You're not going anywhere." Fenrir closed one of its eyes, having a hard time stopping this powerful mutant.
"Just go down!" Alavenya leaped into the air and fell down, a dragon covering her fist. "Raging Dragon Fist."
The roar erupted as the powerful ena dispersed, knocking down the mutant.
Nathan formed a cube and split them before freezing them. Then he sent them toward the alien's neck. "Take that!"
He even spread it so that an ice spike would erupt after the bullets hit, spreading the frozen area.
"Oh!" Jinwu had flown back into the sky and gathered the sunlight in his throat. He then released the beam to slice the neck.
The black cell had moved at the last moment, strengthening the most important part of the alien's body.
In the end, the beam penetrated the neck a bit, but it was still not enough to be considered fatal. The black cell was doing its best to regenerate the scorched part.
"Tsk." Nathan clicked his tongue. 'Is that not enough?'
There was a reason Nathan looked frustrated. He didn't have a lot of ena left. After using bullets and absolute elements, his ena was already running low. The same applied to Anubis, Fenrir, and Jinwu. It was probably also the reason Jinwu was unable to slice that neck.
He could see that Alavenya's ena was running low.
Nathan shouted, "Just one more attack! We'll kill this guy!"
The team was ready to unleash everything they had for this one attack. At the same time, the mutant wouldn't allow them to kill him.
Even though the situation had been turned around after Alavenya and Noelle joined the fight, the moment Nathan exhausted all his ena, he would definitely win. That was why he couldn't allow Nathan to freeze the neck, no matter what.
The mutant struggled on the ground, finally breaking free from Fenrir and the lamia. He then shook his body, forcing Nathan and the others to leap off his body.
The mutant rolled back and glared at them.
Nathan examined the mutant's condition. He had to end it as quickly as possible because they still had to worry about the lower-level aliens. After killing the mutant, he, Fenrir, and Anubis might not be able to fight anymore. Jinwu and Alavenya might last a bit longer, but it wouldn't make that much of a difference.
With all that consideration, Nathan finally came up with a plan.
