Yan Fei turned away and carefully answered the call. Wen Rou’s anxious voice came through, “Thank goodness, Little Fei, your phone is finally reachable! How is your health? Are you feeling any better?”
Hearing Wen Rou’s concerned voice filled Yan Fei with warmth. He replied, “Little Rou, thank you for caring. But I’m fine, my health has fully recovered.”
Yan Fei was in perfect health; his previous condition had been feigned as part of his covert plan, so he honestly answered to alleviate Wen Rou’s concerns.
Unaware of the secret, Wen Rou spoke guiltily, “Little Fei, I’m so sorry! During this time, I was in a secluded mountain area in middle USA, where the signal isn’t great and there’s no television, so it took me a while to hear about your situation. But I’ve already spoken with my parents, and I am about to fly to China to see you.”
