After capturing the robust rat, the US Forces commander was at a loss. With no other choice, the military could only examine the traces left in the garage to figure out how the enemy had entered and left the area.
At that moment, soldiers guarding the entrance to the garage saw a black man approaching. This black man was slim and appeared to be in his fifties. His hair and beard were white, his face lined with wrinkles, and he reeked of alcohol, holding a flask, his eyes bloodshot.
Seeing the black man nearing the garage, the guarding soldiers shined their guns and yelled, “Stop, this area is sealed off. Please leave immediately.”
The black man staggered as he walked, looking like he might collapse at any moment. He appeared not to hear the warning from the American soldiers and continued toward the garage entrance, surveying his surroundings. Just as the two American soldiers were about to strike, a voice suddenly called out, “Hold your fire, let him in.”
The soldiers saw it was their commander speaking. They promptly holstered their weapons, saluted, and didn't stop the black man from entering the garage. Once the black man was inside, the US Forces commander and the group behind him followed as well, but they merely trailed after him without interfering with his actions.
One of the guarding soldiers pulled aside a familiar colleague from the Staff Department and quietly asked, “Hey, buddy, who is that annoying black ghost?”
The Staff Department colleague glanced around and replied quietly, “Have you heard the legend of the Four Major Detectives?”
The inquirer's eyes lit up, “Of course! They're my heroes.”
The staff department colleague whispered, “Well then, that 'black ghost' is one of your heroes. He's one of our famous detectives in The United States of America. His name is Gary Zach.”
The inquiring soldier was taken aback and said, “I always thought our famous detective was Caucasian, how could it be a black ghost? That's not fair; I won't recognize him as my hero. Also, what is he doing here?”
