Super Soldier King and Cute CEO Chapter 1008

"Who dares to touch my Divine Dragon General on Si Bo Island!"

Earlier, when the Dragon Group brothers heard that Azure Dragon and Tang Zhong were being bullied by others on the Federation’s side, they immediately brought reinforcements to perform a rescue operation.

Azure Dragon and Tang Zhong had already become the backbone of the entire Dragon Group.

And with the appearance of the Dragon Group’s military forces.

In an instant, those Federation personnel were gripped by deep-seated fear, as though witnessing the most terrifying thing imaginable.

Initially, their intentions were to ensure Tang Zhong’s death, but now they quickly backed down.

There wasn’t the slightest bit of fighting spirit left in them.

And as the Dragon Group soldiers arrived.

The entire Federation crumbled in fear.

Duke Nock’s face turned even grimmer, and upon seeing the Federation soldiers seemingly about to surrender, he immediately shouted an order: "No one is allowed to retreat!"

But his command held little sway over them anymore.

A defeated army collapses like a mountain.

The Federation’s troops were fully defeated.

Then, soldiers clad in Dragon Group uniforms disembarked from their planes and walked directly toward Tang Zhong and the others.

"Greetings, Divine Dragon General!"

They knelt directly to the ground.

They were genuinely convinced of Tang Zhong’s abilities. On their way here, they had already learned what had transpired. General Tang was nothing short of a beacon for Xuan Country’s national prestige.

Tang Zhong merely waved his hand and said calmly, "Leave this place!"

He didn’t intend to escalate the matter any further within the Federation.

"Yes, General Tang, we shall clear the path for you!"

Up ahead, Dragon Group members marched forward.

With the Dragon Group soldiers escorting Tang Zhong, he departed amidst the watchful gaze of the Federation soldiers.

The planes and armored vehicles didn’t even dare to fire a single shot.

Just like that, the Federation watched Tang Zhong leave!

Before long, he boarded the Dragon Group’s warship and sailed eastward.

In the Federation’s central command room, Duke Nock’s pupils were lifeless and gray, drained of any trace of color.

"It’s over... it’s all over!"

It was unimaginable—a single man escaped despite the Federation’s massive troop mobilization aimed at intercepting him. Such a terrible thing spoke volumes.

Meanwhile, the incident had completely shaken the globe.

First, people were shocked that the Federation had developed an electromagnetic cannon. Even more shocking was that Tang Zhong had survived the powerful strikes from that weapon!

Keep in mind, an electromagnetic cannon is on par with nuclear weapons in destructive power—being able to withstand such a weapon’s attack was proof of Tang Zhong’s extraordinary prowess.

The entire world buzzed with talk about Tang Zhong.

Xuan Country had produced such a terrifying genius—a true prodigy. Fifty years ago, Xuan Country had given rise to Yan Chihuo, and now, in just a few decades, another legend named Tang Zhong emerged.

Everyone was discussing it. Across hundreds of languages worldwide, the subject of Tang Zhong was on everyone’s lips.

All major newspapers featured headlines related to this matter.

The stories were about Tang Zhong—this seemingly god-like figure.

A single man had completely pressured the Federation to the point where it couldn’t breathe.

After this incident, the Federation’s spirit utterly collapsed. When facing off against Xuan Country, their morale had genuinely crumbled beyond repair.

Soldiers who participated in the hunt for Tang Zhong directly opted for retirement. Even returning to farm was preferable to remaining in active service.

Xuan Country, on the other hand, erupted into a state of triumphant celebration.

Because Xuan Country was about to produce another figure like Yan Chihuo.

This was the true golden age of Xuan Country.

Far away on Lanting Continent, which is Yun Country’s territory.

Giger squinted at the TV broadcast covering the events, his brows furrowed into a sharp line.

He originally believed Tang Zhong would certainly die over on the Federation’s side, but to his shock, Tang Zhong had survived—and even forced the entire Federation to bow down.

"Damn it!" Giger slammed his fist violently onto the table.

At this moment, a man dressed in black entered through the door.

When Giger saw him, his eyes widened as he immediately asked, "How did things go?"

"The old man is dead," the man in black replied.

"Excellent, well done!" Giger became visibly excited, then turned back to watch the TV coverage of Tang Zhong, his words venomous: "I want to see—this time, without the old man, how long your Dragon Group can survive!"

At the same time, in the northern mountainous region of the revolutionary holy land.

On top of the high slopes, the ground was mostly barren yellow earth!

This mountain used to be a Chaotic Burial Mound.

Usually, very few people ever visited there, as it was eerily desolate and particularly remote. It was rarely, if ever, frequented.

But this time, two individuals sneaked in.

They were tomb raiders. Put bluntly, they were grave robbers.

The two moved furtively, holding spades and probing the ground constantly as they searched for burial sites.

"They always claimed that during the Qin Dynasty, many aristocrats and generals were buried here. We’ve been grave robbing for so long, yet haven’t found even a single relic. I’m starting to suspect it’s all lies!" a plump man complained.

"Shh... keep your voice down. Just keep digging. I’ve heard this place is a Chaotic Burial Mound left behind from battles—soldiers who died in combat dumped here. We came to make some fortune off grave robbing, but don’t disturb their eternal rest. Remember—if we discover any tomb belonging to ancestors, we must kneel and pay respects. Got it?" the other man said.

"Got it, Old Hu!" replied the plump man.

Soon, they came across dirt mounds stretching before them. Back in the days when ancestors perished here, there were no proper funerals—most were simply tossed into hastily dug pits and buried.

The two proceeded, bowing along the way as they moved.

"Dear ancestors, we are merely here to make some modest gains. If we disturb you, please don’t take offense, kind sirs!" they muttered respectfully with heads lowered.

But suddenly, the plump man stepped on something, causing him to stumble and tumble to the ground. "Ow! My back—damn near killed me!"

"Are you alright?" Old Hu immediately turned back to check.

The two were trekking through the night without flashlights to avoid detection—holding small fire torches they had crafted themselves.

"I’m okay, but I think I stepped on something," said the plump man.

"What exactly?" Old Hu asked.

"Bring the torch over here—I’ll take a look," the plump man responded.

"Oh dear, oh dear—it’s an old man, with his eyes wide open!" The plump man raised the torchlight and screamed in horror.

"Hey—you old man, wake up! Sleeping in a spot isn’t good; you’ll catch cold!" the plump man joked.

He proceeded to shake the old man’s body.

But the old man didn’t move.

It was then the plump man began to panic: "Could it be... could it be this is a dead body?"

Their hearts raced furiously.

They both instinctively looked more closely, only to discover a gaping bloody hole at the top of the old man’s head—blood still slowly dripping out.

Their voices trembled uncontrollably before they turned and bolted.

The area was completely sealed off.

No one was allowed entry!

Eventually, the old man’s identity was confirmed.

His name was Peng Yuan, and he had been killed by a sharp object piercing his skull.

(Not sure how many updates for today— starts with the outbreak of a global war, currently organizing the plot outline.)
