Seeing Tian Xiaomei's puzzled face, Lin Chen said indifferently, "I've cured your illness; the tumor is gone."
"What?" Tian Xiaomei touched the area in disbelief, and indeed, the pain was gone.
Lin Chen opened the door, and Situ Nan hurried in, "Doctor Tian, how is Lin Chen's foot?"
"Foot!" Tian Xiaomei froze, realizing that Lin Chen had almost made her touch his entire body except for his foot.
"Is it very serious?" Situ Nan asked anxiously when Tian Xiaomei didn't respond.
"It's nothing serious, should be fine," Tian Xiaomei said with an awkward smile.
Tian Xiaomei didn't expose Lin Chen's feigning illness, as things had gotten too intimate between them in the infirmary just now.
Hearing that Lin Chen was fine, Situ Nan finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He glared at Chen Xiao beside him, "Be more careful when you walk next time. If you like falling down so much, find a place where there's no one around to do it. Now, apologize to Student Lin Chen and go back to class."
Chen Xiao felt like countless grass-mud horses were galloping in his heart. What kind of situation was this? He was the one who got hit, and yet he had to take the blame and even apologize to him.
Seeing Chen Xiao not speaking, Situ Nan's gaze turned cold, "What, not convinced? Well, go tell your dad to take back your investment and you don't need to come to school anymore."
"What?" Chen Xiao was shocked. He never expected that for the sake of Lin Chen, Principal Situ would actually dare to offend the Chen family and expel him from school.
"I'm sorry." Although Chen Xiao was resentful, he knew he had to bear it. But he had already decided he would make Lin Chen pay.
Lin Chen smiled, "No problem, classmate. Just be more careful when walking next time, because if you fall again, it won't be as simple as a tumble."
Chen Xiao huffed coldly and left.
Seeing Lin Chen and Long Tianci so familiar with each other, Situ Nan was almost stunned.
Long Tianci was a high-ranking official, someone he could only see on television. Yet Lin Chen was able to chat and laugh with him, which elevated Lin Chen even higher in his eyes.
"Minister Long, good to see you," Situ Nan said with respect as he saluted Long Tianci.
Long Tianci nodded, "I have some matters to discuss with Lin Chen. Arrange a safe place for us."
"Yes, of course," Situ Nan quickly replied.
Inside the principal's office, Lin Chen looked at Long Tianci, "Old Long, do you have a mission that requires your personal appearance?"
Long Tianci nodded, "There's a tricky issue I'd like to discuss with you."
"What's the issue?" Lin Chen asked.
Lin Chen always remembered that with great power comes great responsibility. Now that he had the popularity system and superpowers, he had to step up when the country needed him.
"You must know about the Dongmei Group," Long Tianci said gravely.
Lin Chen nodded, "Of course, I've had a conflict with their people in DY."
Long Tianci continued, "On the surface, Dongmei Group is a cosmetics company, but we've always suspected that they're using their business to harm our Huaxia. However, we've been struggling to find evidence."
Lin Chen smirked, "If it's a tumor, just remove it."
Old Long gave a wry smile, "Easier said than done. Dongmei Group is a world-renowned cosmetics manufacturer. If we take hard measures, we would face condemnation from all over the world."
"Haha, don't worry, Old Long. In less than a month, I'll make the Dongmei Group roll out of Huaxia's market," Lin Chen said confidently.
"What?" Long Tianci was caught off guard by Lin Chen's claim.
The Dongmei Group was a Fortune 500 enterprise, having held the top spot in the global cosmetics market for many years. To make them leave Huaxia seemed impossible.
"I heard they plan to use the cosmetics conference to take over several of Huaxia's major cosmetics manufacturers. If they succeed, they will become increasingly unbridled," Old Long said with concern.
Seeing the look of doubt on Old Long's face, Lin Chen smiled lightly, "The World Cosmetics Conference is about to take place in Huaxia soon, and it will be the starting point for Dongmei Group's downfall."
Lin Chen originally just wanted to punish Dongmei Group, but now he realized they posed a threat to the security of Huaxia. This made Lin Chen even more resolved to not hold back against Dongmei Group.
"Good, then I'll wait for the good news. Anna and Sun Xu will come to help you after they finish their current tasks. I'll leave that girl in your hands," Old Long said with a smile.
"Old Long, I'm attending university and still working for you, shouldn't I get a salary?" Lin Chen complained.
"You're worth billions and still want a salary? I've already passed the word to DY; they'll ensure the local government supports Starlight Group as far as policy allows," Old Long chuckled.
"That's the best way," Lin Chen nodded in satisfaction.
Old Long was busy, so after exchange a few more words with Lin Chen, he left.
After sending off Old Long, Situ Nan was even more courteous to Lin Chen. Considering how politely Old Long treated Lin Chen, and the lengthy secret conversation they'd had, Situ Nan was finding Lin Chen's background increasingly mystifying.
"Lin Chen, just let me know if you need anything in the future," Situ Nan stated politely.
"Thank you, Principal Situ," Lin Chen nodded.
"Your enrollment formalities have been handled, you can just go to class," Situ Nan said with a smile.
Lin Chen nodded and headed towards the academic building.
He had not yet seen the beauty he was supposed to protect. Where could she be?
"Where's the beauty, oh where, beauty, come on into my bowl," Lin Chen hummed a bizarre tune, marching down the hallway, when suddenly a petite figure with a pile of books appeared in front of him.
Now was class time, and there were quite a few people in the academic building. Many girls' cheeks flushed as they turned their heads upon hearing this voice.
