"Hehe! That’s good, I’m afraid that because of last time, you might get clingy with me."
Ye Xuan teased with a smile, feigning relief.
Bai Wenrou of course knew what he was referring to! Last time he had given her a breast enhancement massage, this jerk took all the advantage and groped her all over. He sure knew how to act innocent after being lucky, which was utterly infuriating!

Her speech halted, as a blush involuntarily flushed across her pretty face, and her voice softened, "Forget it! I can’t be bothered to explain to you. If you want to show off and deal with those drug dealers on your own, then we won’t interfere. Once you’ve handled it, we’ll proceed with the arrest."
With that, she forcefully hung up the phone with a smack.
Listening to the dead tone from the other end, Ye Xuan smirked and pondered to himself, that girl stopped mid-sentence; could she actually be worried about me?
Suppressing chuckles, Ye Xuan pocketed his phone, leaned back in the seat, and quietly began to wait.

Just then, Lu Miaochan turned her head in the passenger seat and offered her apologies to Ye Xuan.
Ye Xuan looked at her in surprise and asked, "Why are you apologizing to me?"

Yu Hongbing chuckled twice, his lips twisting as he spoke, "Young Master Ye, it’s all for the sake of safety. You know how troublesome it gets if the police catch wind of this stuff! And with such a big haul, we’re also considering your well-being, right?"
As he spoke, his gaze flicked to Ye Xuan’s rear, asking with a puzzled tone, "Young Master Ye, you came alone? Didn’t bring any bodyguards?"
"What, can’t I come by myself? What, are you planning to kill me and run off with my money?"
Ye Xuan’s mouth curled with amusement as he asked with a semi-smiling expression.
