The waiter gave Ye Xuan a curious look, scanned around a few times, then leaned close and whispered, "Bro, how come you don’t know? One-eyed Brother and his crew got arrested. It’s too risky these days, Jade Hall is temporarily closed. Come back to hang out after a few days!"
Ye Xuan’s eyes flashed as he asked, "So, where is your boss?"
"The boss went somewhere, but I don’t know where," the waiter shook his head truthfully.
Ye Xuan frowned and asked a few more questions, only to find that the other party genuinely didn’t know where Xie Wending had gone.
He couldn’t help but snort coldly inside, thinking what a sly fox that guy was! As soon as things got heated, he had hidden himself away, and no one knew where.
After thanking the other party, Ye Xuan didn’t ask any further but walked out of the nightclub, hands in pockets.
Leaning against his car, Ye Xuan didn’t get inside but instead took out a packet of cigarettes from his pocket, lit one up with his lighter and began to puff away.
After quietly finishing a cigarette, his phone rang just in time.
Just as Ye Xuan expected, it was Bai Wenrou calling, presumably with her team already on the way.
Calmly answering the phone, Ye Xuan flicked the cigarette butt away and then spoke indifferently, "Hello? Officer Bai, have you arrived?"
"Where exactly is that basement where the drugs are hidden?" Bai Wenrou didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly.
"Didn’t I tell you? It’s under a luxurious private room on the third basement level of Jade Hall," Ye Xuan said, sounding utterly nonchalant.
"I don’t know the exact spot, where are you now? Hurry up and show us the way!"
Her commanding tone slightly annoyed Ye Xuan.
"Heh, Officer Bai, is this how you ask for my help? No sincerity at all! Forget it, I might as well go home and sleep in my comfy big bed..."
Ye Xuan chuckled sarcastically and was about to hang up, letting the young lady struggle on her own.
Bai Wenrou, furious yet unable to do anything about Ye Xuan, lowered her voice and said, "Ye Xuan, could you please take us there?"
"Hmm, much better attitude," Ye Xuan said, smiling cheekily, "See? If you always talked to me , wouldn’t it be nice?"
"Alright then! Seeing how sincerely you’re asking for my help, I’ll agree reluctantly!"
"Hehe, I’m just outside the nightclub waiting. Bring your people here."
"Ye Xuan, you dare to mock me!!!"
Bai Wenrou roared angrily and ended the call with a slam.
Ye Xuan moved the phone away from his ear, thinking to himself that this woman was really a fiery cop; if she doesn’t temper her temper, what man would find her appealing in the future?
Leading a group of police officers, Bai Wenrou rushed over, her eyes glaring sternly at Ye Xuan, her insides boiling with rage!
The guy was clearly right at the doorway, yet had dragged her around in circles, clearly playing her.
"Ye, are you mocking me for fun?" Bai Wenrou glared at Ye Xuan and shouted loudly.
Ye Xuan rolled his eyes and ignored Bai Wenrou, turning his attention to the dozen or so policemen behind her and noticed a familiar figure—it was Wei Xiaosu.
Seeing Ye Xuan looking over, Wei Xiaosu covered her mouth and chuckled, "Brother Xuan, how did you manage to upset Sister Bai this time?"
"What upset? She asked me for help, and didn’t even have the courtesy to speak politely. Is this the attitude a policeman should have?" Ye Xuan complained.
Hearing this, Bai Wenrou took a deep breath and her expression returned to calm, coldly snorting, "Ye Xuan, I won’t dwell on what happened just now. Just hurry up and take us inside to find that basement with the drugs."
And regarding the murder Ye Xuan committed in the factory, Bai Wenrou never mentioned a word about it from start to finish, as if it never happened.
Ye Xuan glanced at her and began to lead the way.
Bai Wenrou issued commands to the police force behind her and marched forward, with Wei Xiaosu following, a group of police storming towards the front door of the nightclub.
"Where did you get your information from, and are you sure there’s really drugs hidden here?"
Bai Wenrou caught up with Ye Xuan, frowning as she asked.
"The information wouldn’t be wrong,, otherwise, why would I call you? Am I just bored?" Ye Xuan said, curling his lips.
"Where did you get your information from then?" Bai Wenrou was still curious.
She had brought people the night before and had carefully searched the place, but they hadn’t found anything, so they had to leave empty-handed! Otherwise, the Jade Pearl Nightclub would have been shut down already, and Xie Wending wouldn’t have escaped trouble today.

"Can’t you tell?" Wei Xiaosu asked, puzzled.
Even though Bai Wenrou hadn’t admitted it earlier, she could tell that Ye Xuan was actually right! That’s why she was momentarily curious and wanted Ye Xuan to guess.
"Of course I can tell! My trademark isn’t just hot air," Ye Xuan said as he shook his head.
"Then why won’t you guess? Come on, what color is my underwear?"
Ye Xuan rolled his eyes: "I don’t know."
"Psh! Didn’t you just figure it out? You must be guessing blindly, you big liar!" Wei Xiaosu pouted.
"Just now I looked, now I haven’t looked, so naturally, I don’t know."
Ye Xuan shook his head like a rattle-drum.
This made Wei Xiaosu even more curious about what trick he was playing.
