As the final document was signed and the last seal pressed, Leon leaned back in his chair, exhaling deeply. The sky outside had already dimmed into shades of indigo, with the soft glow of moonlight spilling through the tall windows of his study.
"This is... exhausting," he muttered in his mind rotating his shoulders to ease the tension.
He stood up, stretching his long frame, and turned toward Aria, who had been standing silently behind him like a proper attendant—but even in her stillness, she radiated quiet warmth.
Without warning, Leon stepped forward and gently pulled her into his arms.
She gasped, eyes widening as her cheek brushed against his chest. "M-My Lord?"

Before Leon could speak again, she pressed her lips against his.
