Supreme Thief: I Can Steal Anything! Chapter 4

Meanwhile, Leon had yet to discover how deeply he had instilled fear into the Baron’s son and his followers, and more importantly, how that would affect his plans. He was still trying to face his confusing situation.

In a place built much like an old estate property, one house stood out.

That was the Baron’s house, while the rest were his relatives’ houses.

The place looked quite exquisite to be the house of a villager. Anyone with common sense would know that the house belonged to a low-class noble just by the silver that was used to decorate the walls and pillars. Even the smallest details gleamed with refined work, making it a symbol of superiority in this backward village.

While one could hear the shouting of the Baron’s children and relatives and servants talking, the place always seemed to have an odd silence. A silence not of peace, but of pressure. The type of silence that made you feel like you were walking through a place where your life didn’t entirely belong.

Servants could be seen walking around doing chores and fulfilling orders, their heads lowering instantly at the sight of the Baron or his relatives.

Any mistake, even a simple one, would result in severe punishment. That was the rule that all the servants remembered—with their lives on the line.

On the contrary, as the Baron had elevated his siblings from commoners to nobles, they would proudly raise their heads high in arrogance simply because they could. To the residents of this village, their orders were like orders from the gods.

No servant would even dare think of disobeying their orders—even the words of a little boy of two years counted.

In this place, there were two types of servants. The first were called Royal servants, who served only in the Baron’s house. The rest of the servants were not titled and served in the Baron’s relatives’ homes.

Each and every servant was between the fourth and seventh stage of Body Tempering.

The normal and untitled servants were usually in the fourth and fifth stage, while the Royal Servants were in the sixth and seventh stage of the Body Tempering realm.

They had the honour and pride of being Royal servants, as they had the right to order the normal servants. However, they were not allowed to misuse this right.

Relatives could only order available servants who were not completing other jobs. Only the Baron, his wife, and his children had the right to have their orders and directions supersede previous orders.

The Baron’s son finally arrived at the Estate, his face full of anxiety as he ran toward the Baron’s mansion.

Despite being the son of a Baron, he knew his level—and he also knew the power of a cultivator—as he was only at the third stage of Body Cultivation.

He was also afraid that Leon might have the backing of a person with a higher nobility rank than his father. He knew that the lower the rank of a person’s talent, the more resources required for cultivation. If Leon was really a "no talent," then it would take a fortune to bring him to that level.

To cultivate a "no talent" like Leon, it must have taken a mountain of resources. And to have that many resources, then the backer was really not someone to be trifled with—unless they got the wrong information, and Leonel was not a "no talent" useless waste.

That’s what he wanted to ask his father right now, as his personal servant had just informed him that the Baron had returned from the Meeting of Barons.

It’s just that today, he had decided to take a walk alone and take a break from his second world (#Survival Online#), which he usually used to escape the boredom of being locked in the mansion.

The Baron’s son had four senior brothers and no sisters. His older brothers did not get along with each other. His first brother, who was already back from the Holy Sword Faction (where he was an outer disciple), was usually quiet now. Something quite unexpected compared to how he was before he entered the sect. His other brothers seemed to enjoy bickering every time they crossed paths. No one was willing to talk to him because they saw him as their pampered little brother.

"Pampering from our father should be enough for him," they usually thought. "Why would he even need our company?"

But little did they know that their junior brother hated the pampering.

The wind brushed his clothes lightly as he rushed to welcome his father.

His speed was many times faster than the fastest Olympic runner before the Qi Sensing Era. It was on par with a cheetah. However, in this world, that speed was considered slow, as people with high cultivation could be faster than lightning—some were even faster than light.

It did not take long for him to see his father’s carriage parked at the corner of the compound, a few servants gently moving the horses to the stables.

The carriage was perfectly designed with silver, showcasing the work of a perfect silversmith. Like most carriages nowadays, the horses were magical beasts that were far larger and faster, and thus, the carriage was larger and faster. These horse-drawn carriages could easily rival a sports car from before the Qi Sensing Era.

The boy soon reached the compound, panting heavily. He was not yet in the Qi Cultivation stage where he could use Qi to wash tiredness away from his body.

A white-bearded man with a few wrinkles here and there walked out with a phone close to his ear.

"A boy... with silver hair! ...Eying the pill... Okay, I will send my first son to check on this tonight and see... hmm," said the man before going into deep thought while listening to the ranting of the caller.

"Qi Refining Realm!" His voice was filled with shock.

The expression of the man kept changing—from calm, to frowning, to surprised, then to very surprised.

"We will talk later... okay, bye!" the man concluded, cutting the call immediately. "I hope it’s not who I think it is. Is it really that ’no-talent’ brat?"

The boy seemed to be impatient during the call, as he was pacing around the place.

"What’s the problem, Odin, my son?"
