Surprise! I've Transmigrated Again Chapter 223

When Bell firmly accepted the role of captain, Hestia's face lit up with joy as she let out a relieved sigh.

Not only did this establish the Familia, but Bell's decision also naturally brought him closer to her.

"Well then, let's celebrate the official establishment of our Familia. Cheers!"

"Cheers!" the others echoed.

Their wooden cups, filled with juice, clinked together on the dining table.

After finishing their meal, they headed to the Guild.

Their purpose was twofold: to register Adam as a new Adventurer and to file paperwork for Bell's position as Familia Captain.

Though Hestia's "Proof" would have sufficed without her presence, she insisted on coming along, saying she "absolutely wanted to give Familia members the warmth of home".

Adam and Bell could only agree to her heartfelt request.

Inside, the three split up — Bell went to find his Advisor, the half-elf Eina, while Adam and Hestia approached the service window for his registration.

The process was straightforward: they simply needed to record his name and affiliated Familia.

Next came the assignment of an adventurer advisor, who would take 5% of earnings as a fee.

At Hestia's firm insistence, Adam agreed to get one to ease her concerns. Though he expected to be assigned to Eina, Bell's advisor, he learned that advisors were randomly assigned by the guild.

"Nice to meet you, I'm your Advisor, Misha Flott." The petite girl winked playfully, "I'll do my best to Visit NovelHub for more amazing novels and chapters. Looking forward to working with you."

She settled into the chair across from him, chatting freely as she introduced herself.

Without waiting for Adam's introduction, she began reviewing his personal information, muttering softly to herself.

Even with his keen hearing, he caught only fragments of her words.

"Quite old... newly established Familia... seems capable enough..."

She was quite professional! Having handled many Adventurers and served as an Advisor for years, she smoothly guided him through the newcomer orientation.

"Adam... is it okay if I call you that? Of course, you can call me Misha, I don't mind."

The girl's casual friendliness could easily be misinterpreted.

But Adam knew she was simply trying to make her job easier by breaking down barriers with Adventurers.

"Okay, then let's start the newcomer guidance."

Misha led him through the standard orientation, detailing important points for new Adventurers — including taboos and dungeon procedures.

In reality, Adam didn't need this guidance. His overwhelming strength meant he could already dominate the Upper Floors.

Still, he didn't interrupt her. This was her job and responsibility — even if he told her it wasn't necessary, she would insist on completing it anyway.

Besides, Bell was having an animated conversation with Eina while Hestia watched them with gritted teeth.

With nothing else to do, he might as well chat with the advisor before him.

"By the way, since you're a new Adventurer, you'll probably need equipment," Misha said, tapping her documents, "New Adventurers can take out guild loans for starter equipment. I suggest not being stingy with this money — it can increase your survival rate. Of course, the choice is yours."

"Starter equipment... no, I won't need it." He shook his head at her well-intentioned suggestion, lifting the Nichirin Longsword at his waist, "I have my own equipment, so I won't need to spend money buying more."

"Ah, that's good then." Misha glanced at the sword that had been hidden in his cloak, understanding immediately.

This wasn't unusual. Some capable Familias provided weapons and equipment for their new members, sparing them from guild purchases.

However, such treatment was typically reserved for the guild's potential core members — those highly regarded by their deity.

Did this man before her have that kind of potential?

Misha fell into contemplation.

Adam waited patiently while she was lost in thought.

"Sorry, I got distracted for a moment."

"It's fine, I don't mind."

"Then let's wrap this up quickly! Next... Adam, do you need Dungeon maps?" Misha wrote in her notebook while explaining, "New Adventurers can get maps of the first 5 Floors from the guild for free. After that, you'll need to pay — though we only sell maps up to the 18th Floor."

"Only up to Middle Floors?"

"What do you mean 'only up to Middle Floors'? Don't get ahead of yourself!" Misha tapped his forehead with her quill pen, puffing her cheeks, "You're just a rookie adventurer. The 18th Floor is already mid-level — that's not something you should be thinking about!"

"...Somehow Misha seems a bit chuuni."

"Mind your own business!" Flustered like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, she tapped her notebook, "So, want them or not?"

"No, let's skip it." Adam replied, "I don't need maps of the upper floors — they're useless to me, even if they're free."

"Alright, no maps needed." Misha said, ignoring his seemingly arrogant words, "Then how about the monster guide?"

"What about the item drop guide?"

After a string of refusals, Misha completed her new Adventurer guidance task.

"Well then, let me leave you with some words from my good friend: An adventurer must not..."

"An adventurer must not take risks... right?"

"Eh?" Rather than being angry at the interruption, Misha was puzzled, "How did you know that?"

"If I may ask, is your good friend Miss Eina?"

Before Adam could explain, Bell and Hestia appeared at his side, with Eina following. They asked if he had completed his adventurer registration.

"Perfect timing. As you can see Misha, my Captain's advisor is Miss Eina, so let's get along well from now on." He turned to Bell and Hestia, "Let's head back."

"I'll take my leave then, see you next time, Miss Eina."

The three of them left the Guild.

On their way back, Adam had a thought: shouldn't they change their Familia's base? They couldn't keep cramming three people into that run-down basement.

"Goddess Hestia, now that the Familia is established, shouldn't we find a new base?" Adam asked.

He expected her to agree, or at least consider it. But when he finished speaking, both she and Bell turned red with embarrassment.

"Well... as you know, our Familia has just been established, and I'm a useless goddess, so we don't have the means to relocate yet. Even though the basement is run-down, the church above is spacious and could serve perfectly as our Familia base, right?"

Though she didn't say it directly, Adam understood that the Familia lacked the savings to move out of the run-down basement.

He scratched his head, realizing they had misunderstood his meaning.

"Goddess Hestia, the Familia may not have savings, but... I'm quite well-off." He explained.

He pulled out several gold pieces from his chest, opening his hands to display them.

"Though it's not much, it's more than enough to move us out of the run-down basement."

"What are you doing, Adam!" Hestia quickly lunged forward, grabbing his hands to cover the gleaming gold in the sunlight, and scolded in a low voice, "Pulling that out in the street — you'll easily attract unwanted attention."

Though she meant well, Adam wanted to say that in Orario, no one could steal his money — not even if the three executives of the Loki Familia came together!

Still, he put the gold away.

"Adam, we can't use this." Hestia said firmly.

"Why not?" He asked, puzzled.

"You're my child, and you've only just joined the Familia. How could we use your money?"

"But Goddess Hestia, you said that after joining the Familia we're family. If we're family, what's wrong with using this money?"

Seeing she still didn't agree, he leaned close to her ear.

"I know the God's Banquet will be held in the next few days. After moving from the run-down basement, this money could also buy you a formal dress. Though you might not care about appearances or what other Gods think of you, as your children we can't let you look shabby... after all, it reflects on both us and you, Goddess. This is what 'family' does for you, please accept it."

"...Eh?" Hestia had initially refused the money citing 'family,' but now he had used the same reason to convince her to accept it, "We're a Familia, we're family... so how could we worry about such small matters?"

"That's right, Goddess!" Bell clenched his right fist with determination, "Adam and I will definitely work harder to give you a better life, Goddess."

"You two... I'm so glad you're my children." Hearing Adam's words and Bell's ambitious declaration, her eyes welled up with tears.

Later, with Demeter's help, they rented a two-story building next to the old church at an extremely low price.

Yes, rented — because the price was too steep to buy it outright.

The generous rental price made Adam resolve to properly thank Demeter when he had the chance.

However, there was one thing that particularly exasperated him.

"Really now! Why are you so attached to this run-down basement, Goddess Hestia? You're far too sentimental!"

Still, living here had its advantages.

First, the rent was cheap since all the surrounding buildings were old, causing rental prices to drop significantly.

Second, they got the neighboring church for free — spacious enough to accommodate even more Familia members without needing a new base.

And finally, there was Hestia's beloved run-down basement.

After moving to their new place, Bell and Adam spent several days organizing their rooms instead of adventuring.

This continued until the day of the God's Banquet.

"Bell, how do I look in this evening dress?"

Hestia twirled before Bell, showing off her impressive assets, making the pure-hearted young man blush instantly.

"It's — it's beautiful. It suits you very well, Goddess." He stammered shyly.

Though Hestia's evening dress wasn't particularly luxurious but rather simple and formal, her natural beauty shone through. The contrast between her impressive assets and petite frame created a striking effect that made her instantly charming.

"Hehe." She giggled happily at his praise.

Before she could savor the moment further, Adam cut in, "Goddess Hestia, shouldn't you be leaving? It's almost time for the banquet."

"Oh, oh! Well then, I'll be gone for three days, but I'll definitely return before the Monster Feria. Wait for me, Bell."

With that, Hestia departed with Adam.

Once they'd left their base, Adam spoke first, "So, Goddess Hestia, what's the real reason you called me out?"

Though her excuse was wanting him as a guard, he knew she definitely had something to tell him.

"Actually... I've made a decision." She paused momentarily before continuing, "Before the night before you joined the Familia, Bell spent all night fighting in the Dungeon. He returned at dawn covered in wounds, telling me he wanted to become stronger..."

"So you want me to train him?"

"No, that's not it." Hestia shook her head, "Though you're both in the Familia, I know you and Bell are different. Your time, with your huge potential, shouldn't be wasted here."

"I want to help him, no matter what!"

"...This is troublesome, Goddess Hestia." Adam rubbed his chin worriedly, "If you won't let me train him and haven't told me what to do, how can I help?"

But Hestia didn't answer his question directly. Instead, she spoke about something seemingly unrelated, "There are only two ways for Adventurers to become stronger: improving their own abilities and obtaining powerful equipment."

"...I see, so you want to prepare a powerful weapon for Bell?"

"Yes, that's right." She nodded, "I want to ask my divine friend Hephaestus to personally forge a weapon for Bell, but... I know there will be an enormous price to pay."

She knew that even though Hephaestus was her closest divine friend, it wouldn't matter — Orario's rules and customs meant that goddess couldn't forge weapons for free.

"I understand. You're saying this 'enormous price' is the result of your decision, so I shouldn't have to bear it... is that right?"

"Is that so." Adam appreciated that Hestia had come to explain this to him beforehand and tell him he wouldn't need to bear this burden.

But... it was time to repay his debt to that Silver-haired Elder, Zeus.

"Goddess Hestia, since you're going to see Goddess Hephaestus about forging weapons for Bell, please take these with you." Saying this, he pulled out some ore.

Crimson Sand Ore, Pure Iron Ore, Adamantite — the seven or eight pieces before them were his last stock.

"These are my unique ores, the only ones remaining in this world."

"Please take them, Goddess Hestia!" He pressed the ores into her hands, "These one-of-a-kind ores should be enough to convince Goddess Hephaestus. I don't want you to lose face before the other deities."

Hestia didn't answer, but silently put away the ores and turned to leave.

Adam knew that with these ores, Bell's weapon would become much more durable.

And things turned out just as he expected.

The dagger Hestia brought back was far more powerful than ordinary divine weapons.

But what he hadn't expected was that she returned not with one weapon...
