Surviving The Fourth Calamity Chapter 319

"Anli Er, I saw some really pretty clothes at a fashion show these past few days, and I want to try replicating them here," Yue Xiaoluo piped up, "After this is over, come with me to check it out, will you?"

"Sure," Anli Er quickly replied, "You’re talking about the retro ones, right? I think they’re beautiful too, let’s make them together!"

The two girls moved closer together to discuss making clothes.

Old Cat looked back around, the others didn’t plan to pay him any mind, only Yun Che and Yeyu Qingyu, the couple, were staring at him intently, wanting to see if he would continue to strike up a conversation.

Then, amidst the couple’s teasing laughter, he sat down to drink on the side.

He’s quite an interesting rich second-generation, Hill couldn’t help but laugh along for a moment.

Suddenly, the screen began to flicker; they were starting to match opponents.

According to the muttering of the people downstairs, the matchmaking was completely random; there were no so-called team matches, it was all down to one’s own ability.

A hundred people in one arena, and the last one standing advanced to the next round.

After all, there were several million people signed up for the competition, but this kind of prelim that could be started simultaneously, could only mean the God of Time and Space’s divine power was truly formidable.

The big screen would likely only randomly broadcast the particularly interesting ones, Hill waited with interest.

The first scene that appeared on the screen was a peculiar arena.

The people downstairs almost burst out laughing.

It was a boundless sea.

After a hundred people were randomly scattered into the water, the first thing they encountered were the giant shark family.

The mages hurriedly flew up without hesitation, and even the knights, priests, and swordsmen didn’t spare their mana bars, ascending into the sky.

The school of giant sharks had already caught scent of this fresh meat, and the legendary-ranked creatures didn’t hesitate to fire water arrows all over the sky.

Before they fought each other, their primary task was to desperately flee.

But if they ran in opposite directions, then the survivors had to either opt out of the fight by admitting defeat, or risk their lives in the sea to find their enemies.

"How big is this map? Can we check?" The attention of the Undead Tribe below had been completely captured by the scene on the screen.

"A thousand miles in radius," Old Cat was already happily investigating, "That’s not too far if you fly. It’s just a bit dangerous; they can’t beat the legendary giant sharks."

"This map, that guy William sure knew it was the nastiest," Xiao Chenhuan said, "Which is why the big screen chose this one first. I wonder who were the unlucky ones randomly selected for this map? Could they be the sort who bought nutrient solutions without flavor packs?"

"Did William set some sort of selection preference?" Anli Er asked incredulously, "With fewer than ten mages, how are the others supposed to survive?"

"You believe it or not, the mages are definitely going to die first," Old Cat said defiantly, "If it were me, I wouldn’t let these guys step over my dead body to climb up."

His words had not yet finished when a knight and swordsman teamed up. The knight forcefully threw the swordsman, who took both man and sword to directly knock down several mages flying in tandem above them.

"Now there are only three left," watching those mages get stunned and fall into the gaping maws of the giant sharks, Old Cat muttered, "That mana-sealing skill of the swordsman, it can be used too!"

That knight himself, because he paused momentarily, was directly shot into dissipating specks of light by water arrows. And the swordsman, due to the excessive force used, plunged into the water and didn’t escape either.

"Just as I thought! Even if it means my own death, I wouldn’t serve as a stepping stone for others," Old Cat said with satisfaction.

The remaining three mages, although they vigilantly flew far away, found themselves targeted by the collective efforts of the remaining dozens.

Even on a thousand-mile radius map, if you keep running in circles, you’ll eventually bump into someone.

Very soon, the three mages were angrily picked off.

The crowd below was immersed in a merry atmosphere.

In the end, the last survivor was a priest who kept his nose to the grindstone running away, with no intention of joining the fray.

When a little boy suddenly popped up to declare his victory, encircling him in halos, the priest still looked completely bewildered.

"It’s young William!" Old Cat exclaimed, "Having the Goddess of Joy announce the victory fits so perfectly!"

Hill smiled, "Gods of Time and Space, this is about consolidating Young William’s divinity!"

He had said, how could William possibly organize this competition right before the war with the Elves and Dwarves was about to start?

For the Undead Tribe, seeing the emergence of Young William meant that their entertaining competition had come to the best conclusion.

And for Young William, amid these affirmations of his existence, his divinity was thoroughly secured, no longer vulnerable to anyone’s tampering.

The Gods of Time and Space, having only Young William’s divinity, still seemed a bit nebulous.

But Hill felt that the increasingly frequent appearances of Young William on the giant screen were making him stronger and stronger.

The God of Time and Space was indeed a big shot with meticulous thoughts.

Knowing that the Elf Deity System was from foreign deities potentially more savvy about divine matters than the local ones, reinforcing his own side’s only weakness was indeed a good idea.

The subsequent competitions appearing on the giant screen were all whimsically amusing, inducing chuckles from the audience.

The Undead Tribe probably just thought it was because there was no real skill in the preliminaries, and luck was the most crucial factor.

So the game officials chose some entertaining ones to show everyone, so as not to bore the audience.

But as time passed and night gradually fell, with Silvermoon standing right in the middle of the sky,

Hill felt a gentle tremor on the Law Line in his hand.

Hill abruptly looked up at the starry sky, where two stars, one large and one small, on the edge of The River of Time and Space, suddenly brightened in the night.

The two round constellations, which had been nestled together, began to change their shapes.

The Goddess of Joy’s constellation turned into the shape of a harp, and the small constellation she had been embracing turned into the shape of a trophy representing victory, hanging at the top of the harp.

On such an ordinary night, amid the laughter of tens of millions of the Undead Tribe, the Gods of Time and Space were completely perfected.

Hill silently watched the sky full of stars, not knowing when William had prepared this competition for the masters of combat, but this one move after another was truly admirable.

As for William, the only one in the Gods of Time and Space still on the ground, he didn’t need to use such a method to stabilize his divinity. Once he ascended to the starry sky, he would only grow stronger.

Looking at William’s state, he was probably planning to consider igniting the Divine Fire and ascending the Divine Throne only after the world had fully returned to normal, steering Saral back onto the course he envisioned.

The Undead Tribe was still laughing heartily, and the villagers in Hill’s Domain, too, were watching with smiles in their eyes, unaware of the changes in the starry sky.

But Hill thought that the Mage Association, the Elves, and the Dwarves could see it.

They didn’t even know what had happened, but the once only frail Young William in the Gods of Time and Space had suddenly become strong.

As for the Sorcerer Tower, they must be very happy by now, seeing their ally become stronger after confirming their alliance.

Under the glow of Silvermoon, Hill rode the wind, and in the blink of an eye, flew back to his Magic Tower.

Then he stopped on the terrace. Kais had built a Cloud House among the white clouds right above the fountain.

Hill silently flew up, looking at the beautiful little house atop the clouds.

The clouds were made from the Cloud Ship that Hill had crafted for him, which Kais had enlarged to the max and constructed the outline of the house with flowing winds.

In the past few days at the Magic Tower, it seemed he had looked at a lot of Alchemy Huts.

His thoughts on the shape of the hut hadn’t settled yet, so the house made of swirling winds kept changing its form every now and then.

Kais felt Hill’s gaze: "Hill, Hill, do you think it’s good if my house keeps changing ? I find it very interesting."

Hill nodded, "It is very interesting."

The versatility of the wind was beginning to show in Kais’s personality.

Seeing Hill’s approval, Kais joyfully tumbled around.

His children, little balls of wind, were already adventuring inside the house.
