"Sis, should we go take a look?" An Ping was a boy with quite some courage, driven by the urge to get to the bottom of any unusual happenings.
An Hao grabbed An Ping firmly and gently shook her head.
It was different at night than during the day. If it were something good, why would they come here in the middle of the night?
The sounds suggested it was a rendezvous for a secret affair, and what a place they had chosen, far from where the villagers lived. Few people would venture here at night, so any noise made wouldn’t alert anyone in the village.
Silently carrying his things, An Ping prepared to head back with An Hao.

Frightened out of his wits, Li Wangfu dodged instinctively, and the sickle struck a rock, sending sparks flying.
The sickle had fallen within an inch of Bai Xue’s head, scaring her into screaming aloud.
"You still have the face to cry, I’ll kill you! Making my dad a cuckold!" Anger clouded An Ping’s judgment; he was no longer considering the consequences as he repeatedly hacked towards Bai Xue’s head with the sickle.
"An Ping! Stop!" An Hao shouted sharply, rushing forward to grasp the sickle’s handle tightly, afraid that a moment of carelessness might let the blade fall.
Bai Xue’s life wasn’t worth pitying, but her brother An Ping’s life would be ruined!
She couldn’t allow it!
"Sis, let go of me!" An Ping bellowed, "Let me kill this shameless hussy!"
"An Ping! You can’t be so impulsive; if you kill her, you’ll pay with your life! It’s not worth trading your life for hers! Besides our father, you’re the closest person to me in this world. Can you bear to leave me behind? I’ll still need you to stand up for me and vent my anger in the future!" An Hao said while holding her breath to get the words out.
Sure enough, An Ping’s grip loosened, and An Hao took the opportunity to whisk the sickle away.
"Sis, are we just going to let this pair of dogs treat our dad ?" An Ping glared at Bai Xue, trembling on the ground, and yanked her hair, "I have to show Dad this woman’s true face and kick them out of our house for good!"
"Just catching her won’t do! ’If you catch adulterers, you catch them both!’ We have to take Li Wangfu as well..." An Hao hadn’t finished speaking when she turned and found that Li Wangfu’s shadow was already gone; he had escaped.
