The students in the class were silent, each one not speaking a word.
Everyone’s attention was on the chairs, and no one noticed a foot stealthily stretching over.
"If others didn’t see it, did you?" the instructor asked, pointing to the three girls who shared a dormitory with An Hao.
Lei Linxuan and Zhang Juan shook their heads, "No."
"And what about you?" the instructor then asked Gu Wushuang.
"Instructor, I think you’re asking the wrong question," Gu Wushuang tilted her head and looked at the instructor. "Asking questions doesn’t foster unity among us. We’re roommates and friends; how could we harbor thoughts of harming one another? I don’t think An Hao is that kind of person."
Gu Shuangshuang had the courage to love and hate, and also to speak the truth.
She had been observing An Hao these days.
While everyone else was too tired to even stay alive and went to bed, An Hao, even though she slept on the top bunk, was always the last one to turn off the lights. In the morning, she woke up the earliest and would fill extra basins with wash water to save time from queuing in the water room once everyone else got up—a real time-waster.
These were things An Hao had always done in silence; she never mentioned them, but Gu Shuangshuang saw them clearly.
She didn’t believe that someone who considered others would do such a thing just to get a couple more hours of rest.
"Are you implying that I’m trying to stir up trouble among you?" the instructor was also a bit angry; he had seen An Hao push Xu Yinuo and cause her fall.
If he hadn’t witnessed such an incident, it would be another story, but having seen it, he had to bring it up!
He couldn’t condone such unfair competitive behavior!
"I didn’t say you were stirring up trouble. I just said the way you’re asking is problematic and not quite appropriate," Gu Shuangshuang replied.
An Hao shot a grateful glance at Gu Shuangshuang.
Of so many people, only Gu Shuangshuang stood up to speak for her—it would be a lie to say she wasn’t moved.
The instructor saw that Gu Shuangshuang had a sharp tongue, and the students in the class were all staring at him, seemingly waiting to see how he would handle the situation.
He felt that addressing the matter in front of so many people would not only be time-consuming but, if handled poorly, could cause unnecessary trouble; he decided to put the issue aside for the moment and waved his hand to the students, saying, "Let’s start training. After training, the girls will stay behind."
When training resumed, An Hao only then realized how much her knee hurt. Taking advantage of a break to go to the bathroom, she rolled up her pant leg to take a look and found that her knee was scraped, with the blood coagulated and sticking to her pants.
Pulling it apart felt as painful as tearing flesh!
