Daddy Zhaozhao: “You all heard what my daughter just said. She was the one being bullied and threatened, not the other way around. As for her breaking someone’s head, that was self-defense. We will pay the money, but we absolutely won’t admit any wrongdoing. And that person who bullied my daughter, you need to properly educate them.”
The police officer suddenly regretted having called the parents.
“We will investigate and verify the situation your daughter reported. For now, please sign here and take your daughter home. If there are any new developments in the case, we will contact you again.”
In fact, incidents mass brawl happen quite a lot every year, especially with most of the participants being minors. In such cases, generally if there are no serious injuries or deaths, it’s just a verbal reprimand; they don’t really do much else to them.
The main reason for bringing in the parents is to hope they will take their children’s upbringing seriously and properly educate them when they take them home.

After leaving the police station, Shen Zhaozhao looked at Daddy Zhaozhao and asked, “You didn’t tell my mom about this, did you?”
“Don’t worry, your dad is the most reliable at handling things! I just told your mom that I went out for a walk.”
“You went for such a long walk, are you sure mom won’t be suspicious?”
“It’s okay, I can handle your mom’s interrogation. But what about you guys?”
Shen Zhaozhao looked towards the police station—Sang Youyou and the others’ parents had all arrived. None of them looked happy, especially Xu Siyan’s parents, who were scolding her severely.
Xu Siyan’s gaze inadvertently met with Shen Zhaozhao’s outside the door, she paused for a moment, not sure if it was shame or embarrassment, but quickly looked away.
Shen Zhaozhao sighed and said, “I guess tonight’s camping trip is ruined!” Given the current circumstances, it was unlikely their parents would be comfortable with them staying outside for the night.
It was a shame about the tents, the canopy, and the RV that they had rented.

“When has Dad ever lied to you? Come on, take me to your camping site.”

“If you’re staying with me tonight, what about mom, how will we explain to her?”
This stumped Daddy Zhaozhao.
He thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with a good excuse for not returning home at night.
“If all else fails, why not just be honest with your mom? It’s not your fault, she will understand. If your mom goes after you, Dad will take the heat for you, okay?”

Zhaozhao’s mother, after hearing the whole story, didn’t say anything; she just reminded Daddy Zhaozhao to take good care of their daughter.
The second camping trip of the quartet ended with the father-daughter duo staying at the campsite for one night.
They thought that was the end of it, but unexpectedly, the incident made its way to the school and to the principal’s ears.
Especially the part about Shen Zhaozhao smashing a soda bottle on someone’s head.
In the principal’s eyes, this was an extremely severe and negatively influential incident. If word got out that their students were fighting and brawling outside of school, it would seriously affect the school’s reputation.
Before long, Shen Zhaozhao was once again called to have her parents brought in.
