Chapter 22: Chapter 22 The Young Rascal Gets Shy
Qin Suxin interrupted the two with a smile and urged Sheng Chuyi, “Yiyi, didn’t you prepare a gift for Zhaozhao? Hurry up and get it out.”
Chuyi reluctantly took out a small box from his pocket and handed it to Shen Zhaozhao, “Here, happy birthday!”
Zhaozhao curiously opened the box to find a tiny golden locket, very exquisite, with the character for Zhao engraved on it.
The item was specially customized by Qin Suxin.
Chuyi also had an identical one, only with the character for Yi engraved on it.
“Wow! It’s so beautiful!”
Zhaozhao really liked it and couldn’t wait for Zhaozhao’s mother to help her put it on.
She also took out a gift she had prepared especially for Sheng Chuyi from her bag, “I’ve also prepared a gift for Yiyi, one for each of us.”
It was two resin dolls, customized to look like her and Sheng Chuyi.
Not exactly the same, but at least seventy percent similar.
She gave the male doll to Sheng Chuyi and kept the female doll for herself.
Although it wasn’t as valuable as the golden locket Yiyi gave her, it was her own pick.
Qin Suxin, holding her phone to record, exaggeratedly giggled like an aunt, “Don’t they look like they’re exchanging betrothal gifts?” Watching the two little ones exchange presents, she seemed to envision them swapping wedding rings in the future.
“Come to think of it, they do seem like that.”
Ever since the two little ones had settled on a marriage alliance, Shu Ran couldn’t wait to just pack up the girl and toss her next door, ideally to also have the neighbors help with her homework.
Mr. Sheng laughed cheerfully throughout the whole process, except Daddy Zhaozhao was feeling a little uncomfortable inside.

After lunch, the family went to the beach to play.
Shen Zhaozhao specifically went back to the room to change into the little swimsuit Zhaozhao’s mother had prepared for her.
It was pink with a skirt, and she loved it.
Waiting at the hotel entrance for a while, they finally saw Sheng Chuyi being pulled out of the room by Qin Suxin, wearing small swim trunks with a superhero pattern.
Even from a distance, they could feel his displeasure.
He had prepared a very cool two-piece swimsuit for himself, which somehow got swapped out by his mom.
Sheng Chuyi felt it was childish and a bit embarrassing.
Qin Suxin was somewhat at a loss between laughter and tears, it was just swim trunks, and the boy was even feeling shy about it.
Of course, she wouldn’t admit that she did it on purpose.
After all, the joy of teasing her son… who would understand!!!
