Chapter 28: Chapter 28: In your dreams!
In the evening after school, Shen Zhaozhao hadn’t finished packing up when she saw Sheng Chuyi passing by with his backpack.
Seeing this, Shen Zhaozhao hurriedly stuffed the remaining items into her backpack, not even bothering to zip it up, and chased after him, calling out, “Yiyi, why are you walking so fast? Wait up for me!!!”
Sheng Chuyi ignored her.
Shen Zhaozhao jogged all the way to catch up with him and said, “I heard someone wrote you a love letter today?”
“Don’t know!” Sheng Chuyi frowned, looking quite unhappy.
His tone wasn’t very nice either.
“How could you not know someone wrote you a love letter? I heard the girl who wrote it is the class president of Class Two. I’ve seen her before; she’s pretty good-looking.”
Shen Zhaozhao knew since childhood that he was popular, with little girls lining up every day in kindergarten to give him treats.
In the first grade, someone wrote him a love letter.
Now even more young girls wrote him love letters, even the upperclass women would specially come to their class to inquire about him.
Back in kindergarten, Shen Zhaozhao would claim to be his little wife and wouldn’t let those girls near him, but ever since she learned the meaning of “little wife” in primary school, she never said it again.
Sheng Chuyi: “Didn’t read it, didn’t know it was a love letter.”
This response was so Sheng Chuyi!!!
Shen Zhaozhao silently sympathized with the girl who sent him the love letter for one second before continuing to ask, “Do you have any regrets now? I heard she even came to the classroom looking for you.”
Sheng Chuyi furrowed his brows and said, “Why should I regret anything? I don’t like her.”
That seemed to make sense in a way.
“Then who do you like?” Shen Zhaozhao took a step forward, continuing her inquiry.
Sheng Chuyi suddenly stopped, turned around, and looked right into Shen Zhaozhao’s eyes.
The two of them were so close that their faces were almost touching.
Sheng Chuyi was momentarily dazed, but as soon as he regained his composure, he immediately stepped back.
“What’s wrong?” Shen Zhaozhao blinked and looked at him with confusion.
“Nothing!” Sheng Chuyi glanced at her and quickly averted his gaze, continuing forward.
Shen Zhaozhao felt he was a bit weird today but soon pushed the thought aside and kept up with him, asking, “You still haven’t answered me. Do you actually like any girls? If you do, I can help you out!”
“Then what kind of girl do you like?”
“Shen Zhaozhao, you’re so noisy!” Without waiting for her to speak again, Sheng Chuyi interrupted her impatiently.
“Fine!” Shen Zhaozhao finally shut her mouth.
When the two arrived home, Shen Zhaozhao was about to open the door when she suddenly remembered something, looked up at Sheng Chuyi, and said, “Oh, Yiyi, can you tell Aunt Suxin for me that I want to eat the cake she makes?”
“Ha!” Sheng Chuyi looked at her and scoffed, saying, “In your dreams!”
Shen Zhaozhao was stunned!
Before she could say anything else, Sheng Chuyi, with a dark look on his face, opened the door next door, walked in, and heavily shut his own front door right in front of her.
Shen Zhaozhao felt he was even weirder today!
Had she offended him somehow?
What was up with him, throwing a tantrum out of the blue?
Shen Zhaozhao was utterly bewildered.
The guy was getting more and more unreasonable.
Hmph, if he wouldn’t help, she wouldn’t bother asking; she would go tell Aunt Suxin herself.
