"Aren’t I supposed to be taking supplementary lessons? Why are you making me do test papers again?" Sheng Ning’an looked at the thick stack of test papers in front of her, her face turning green.
She seriously doubted whether this person had done anything else all day besides just printing test papers.
"Ever heard of predicting test questions? Don’t you want to rank in the middle tier in the next monthly exam? Then go through all the possible types of questions. This is the fastest way to identify and fix your gaps. There are only so many points to cover in one book. If you repeat the same type of questions ten or twenty times, I believe that even a slow learner can get it." Given her current foundation, it wasn’t likely that she would understand all the problems in a short time, so it was necessary to focus on the key points and handle the monthly exam first.
Luckily, she was just in her first year of high school and school had started not too long ago. The high school knowledge she had learned was limited, so one month should be enough to understand all the crucial question types.
"Who are you calling a slow learner?"
Don’t think she couldn’t tell that this guy was insulting her.
Xu Weiran: "I’m talking about you, study hard if you don’t want me to look down on you."
"Fine, I hope your method works." In the eyes of these geniuses, ordinary people were all fools anyway.
"Xu Weiran, are you even capable?" After doing problem sets for a week straight, Sheng Annin’s mind was filled with various types of questions. She was close to developing a conditioned reflex against test papers.
Xu Weiran tapped her forehead with his pen and said, "Show some respect to your teacher."
The process of repetitive practice was the most boring, and Sheng Annin now got a headache just from seeing those problems. Eventually, she threw the papers away and declared, "I’m not doing it anymore."
"Young lady, didn’t you say you would listen to me?" Xu Weiran raised an eyebrow as a reminder.
Sheng Ning’an slouched and said, "I’d rather go to tutoring classes than continue doing this. If I have to, I’ll just sleep there. I doubt my mom can keep watching over me in class."
That would be better than being tormented by these problems every day.
Xu Weiran raised his eyebrows and said, "Are you sure? But just so you know, I won’t be returning the money your Young Uncle gave me."
"Are you that poor?" Sheng Ning’an was somewhat speechless. After all, he was a gifted student from Jing University; a single patent could earn him hundreds of thousands or even millions.
Sheng Ning’an didn’t believe he really needed the money.
Xu Weiran: "I am indeed a bit short on cash lately. After all, I’m getting old; I need to save up for a dowry."

"An’an, how do you think you did?" Right after handing in her paper, her deskmate asked.
Sheng Ning’an: "I think I did quite well this time."
"Hmph." No sooner had she finished speaking than a snicker came from behind her.
"What are you laughing at?" Her deskmate turned around.
The girl at the back desk looked provocatively in Sheng Ning’an’s direction, clearly looking to stir trouble: "I’m laughing because someone got a 32 last time—I wonder how many points she’ll get now?"
