"What do you mean ’you’? Am I wrong?"
Sheng Ning’an interrupted the other person directly, "Next time you mock someone, take a look at yourself in the mirror first. Even if I fail to get into university and just lie flat, I can still go back home and inherit millions. It’s not your place to laugh at me. It’s not scary to be foolish, what’s scary is being foolish and not knowing it."
The latter was so angered that their face turned from green to white, yet they were unable to retort and ended up glaring at her, saying, "Sheng Ning’an, I don’t believe you can be so arrogant forever."
Sheng Ning’an: "Who do you think you are? Whether you believe it or not, does it matter?"
Almost caused the other person to faint from anger.
"Awesome!" The deskmate quietly gave her a thumbs up.
Sheng Ning’an smiled slightly. She might not be able to compete with the grades, but she didn’t believe she’d lose in a war of words.
When it came to arguing, she had never been afraid of anyone!
Soon, the monthly exam results were out, and a crowd ran to the bulletin board to check their grades.
Sheng Ning’an was also dragged into the crowd.
"An’an, come and look, you actually ranked two hundredth in the grade this time, you are too amazing! Also, you scored 123 in math, how did you manage that?"
Sheng Ning’an looked at her own section of the bulletin board, couldn’t help but curve her lips into a smile. It seems that this month’s practice wasn’t in vain.
"Impossible, she cheated!"
A sharp voice rose behind her at that moment.
The deskmate turned around and said to the person, "Li Mengtao, are you sick? Why are you always everywhere?"
The latter was staring intently in Sheng Ning’an’s direction, saying, "How could she possibly score 123? That can’t be her real score, I don’t believe it."
"I think you are seriously ill. What does her score have to do with you? Do we need your belief?" The deskmate grabbed Sheng Annin’s hand and said, "Annin, let’s go, don’t bother with her."
Li Mengtao blocked their path, "What’s the matter, got nervous because I hit the mark?"
The deskmate looked at her disgustedly, "Are you ever going to stop? Can’t you stop acting like a mad dog, biting everyone all the time?"
Li Mengtao kept her gaze on Sheng Ning’an’s direction, saying, "The main character hasn’t spoken yet, what are you so anxious about?"
"Our Annin just can’t be bothered with you." The deskmate tried to push her away and leave, but the surrounding crowd was too thick, and after only a couple of steps, they were blocked again by her.
"Am I wrong?" Li Mengtao snorted, "Everyone still remembers her score from last time, how could she improve so much in just a month?"
The deskmate couldn’t stand her behavior and loudly spoke up for Sheng Ning’an, "Just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean others can’t. Besides, do you have any proof? Accusing someone baselessly. Are you just jealous because Annin is prettier than you and comes from a wealthier family? Do you really need to slander her ?"
"I’m not jealous of her." Li Mengtao was caught off guard, hitting a nerve, and couldn’t help but shout back.
"Then why are you always picking on her?" The deskmate angrily questioned.
Seeing that they had said so much yet Sheng Ning’an hadn’t even spared her an extra glance, as if she was some sort of clown, Li Mengtao, in a moment of heated anger, blurted out, "Can’t I simply dislike her? Isn’t she just relying on her pretty face, acting all high and mighty?"
The deskmate immediately responded, "So you admit it, you’re just picking fights on purpose?"
"So what if I am?" Now that the mask was off, Li Mengtao wasn’t afraid to admit it.
"Then you really are quite ridiculous, putting down others just because you can’t measure up, such behavior is truly shameful!"
