Chapter 58: Chapter 58: Even the clothes don’t mind how ugly you look
Summer vacation passed by swiftly.
As the new semester approached, Shen Zhaozhao stopped her mother, who was about to leave for work.
“Mommy, school’s about to start, buy me a few new clothes, will you?”
Zhaozhao’s mother: “Didn’t we just buy some last year? You should still be able to wear them this year.”
Shen Zhaozhao: “Last year’s clothes are out of style now; they don’t look good anymore.”
Zhaozhao’s mother, rushing to leave, told her, “Just make do and wear them, the clothes didn’t complain about you being ugly.”

“Dad, you’re the best to me!” Shen Zhaozhao instantly ran to her father with joy, hugging his hand and acting coquettishly.
The father and daughter happily left the house.
On their way back with new clothes in hand, Shen Zhaozhao suddenly remembered a very serious problem.
“What if my mom asks about it?”
Wouldn’t his secret stash be exposed?
Daddy Zhaozhao: “Just say they were from last year. Your mom probably can’t remember how many clothes you have, right? Your dad sacrificed all his private savings for this; you can’t betray me.”
Shen Zhaozhao nodded and said, “Okay, if worse comes to worst, I’ll just say I went out and collected trash to exchange for money to buy them.”
Daddy Zhaozhao’s eyes lit up as if he had suddenly discovered some get-rich-quick scheme, looking at Shen Zhaozhao he said, “Honey, since you’re at home every day with nothing to do, why don’t you go out and see if there are any bottles on the roadside to collect? Then they saw a boy nearby turn around, look at Shen Zhaozhao, and say, “Hi, my name is Lu Xu, and I’m also in Class 1. We’re going to be classmates from now on.”
