After speaking, she realized that her future daughter-in-law was still there and, not wanting to have frightened her with her initial reaction, she hurriedly toned down her expression.
But Sheng Ning’an, observing Mother Xu, couldn’t shake off the feeling that she had seen her somewhere before.
"What’s wrong?" Xu Weiran noticed her look and couldn’t help asking.

"Cheeky boy, what nonsense are you spouting?" Mother Xu glared at her son, knowing he was reminding her of the time she hadn’t believed in him and had kicked him out. Then, smiling sweetly at Sheng Ning’an, she said, "Don’t listen to his nonsense. His room, I’ve kept it nice and ready for him, take your time looking around with him."
Sheng Ning’an nodded obediently, "Thank you, Auntie!"
