Tian Yu and Xue Xian exchanged glances, both a bit confused and not understanding why these two suddenly started fighting. When they came to their senses, they hurriedly stepped forward to mediate, "Stop fighting, we’re all in the same dormitory. If there’s an issue, just talk it through clearly, there’s no need to make things unpleasant!"
"Yeah! We can all talk things through nicely."
Sheng Ning’an, "I have nothing to say to her." Then she turned to Shi Yue, "Starting from today, I don’t want to hear any discussion about me or my boyfriend from you. I hope from now on, we can keep to our own paths, and it’s best to pretend we don’t know each other, even in the dorm."
Shi Yue suddenly lifted her head and looked at Sheng Ning’an coldly, no longer pretending to be the innocent and pure little flower, but with her true nature, she looked at her with envy and hate, "Do you know what I hate about you the most?"
"I hate your arrogant attitude, you’re just born into a better family than me. Aside from our backgrounds, I’m not inferior to you in any way, so why do you look down on me?"
Sheng Ning’an, "I look down on you not because of your family background, but purely because I don’t like you as a person."
She hadn’t liked her personality since the first time they met.
But Shi Yue, as if someone had stepped on her tail, confronted her, "Why do you look down on me? How are you better than me? Everything you have now, isn’t it all because of your family?"
"Think whatever you like." Sheng Ning’an couldn’t be bothered to argue with her.
Having said what she wanted to say, she turned around and stopped paying attention to her.
Tian Yu and Xue Xian looked from one to the other, not knowing what to say, feeling like supporting anyone would be wrong, and eventually they silently turned away.
Shi Yue, however, felt like the two were siding with Sheng Ning’an to isolate her. Her hands clenched tightly at her sides, and her eyes were filled with vengeful fury.
Someday, she would make all those who looked down on her bow down to her.
That afternoon, Sheng Ning’an, Tian Yu, and Xue Xian prepared to head out for a lecture.
The lecture was held in the school auditorium and was open to the entire student body; anyone interested could attend.
Before leaving, Tian Yu, still aiming for harmony in the dorm, asked Shi Yue, "Yueyue, do you want to come with us?"
"Of course, I’m going." Shi Yue stood up, sneered in the direction of Sheng Ning’an, and laughed coldly.
She wanted to see just how impressive her boyfriend really was.
Tian Yu had merely asked out of politeness; she thought after the argument Shi Yue had with Sheng Ning’an, she definitely wouldn’t want to attend her boyfriend’s lecture.
But she had underestimated Shi Yue’s resilience.
Tian Yu quickly glanced in Sheng Ning’an’s direction, relieved to see no sign of anger, worried that the two might start arguing again. Then, steeling herself, she said, "Let’s hurry up then! If we’re late, we might not get a seat."
And it turned out she was right.
Minutes before the lecture was supposed to start, the auditorium was already packed.
It was unclear whether these people were here for the lecture or for the person giving it.
After all, the topic of a handsome guy giving a lecture had been circulating in their school for many days.
It seemed half of these people were drawn by his appearance.
"Are there really this many people?" Even expecting a crowd, Tian Yu was still shocked by the scene.
She turned to Sheng Ning’an, "Your boyfriend’s popularity is almost like a celebrity’s, isn’t it?" Even if a celebrity were to come to their school for an event, it wouldn’t necessarily attract this many people.
