She went out alone, unfamiliar with the place, so Xu Weiran was a bit worried, thinking it would be better to have someone accompany her.

Just her luck, she didn’t bring any cash with her either. She managed to borrow a phone from a tourist to call Sheng Yeli and Xu Weiran, but probably they were in a meeting, and both their phones were turned off.
With an "it is what it is" mindset, Sheng Ning’an decided to stay and leisurely revisit the attractions.
Sheng Yeli and Xu Weiran’s meeting lasted from one o’clock until five, and typically such academic meetings don’t have rest breaks in between.
As soon as the meeting ended, Xu Weiran turned on his phone right away to call Sheng Ning’an to see if she had returned to the hotel.
The response on the other end was that the phone was turned off.
At the same time, Sheng Yeli tried calling Sheng Ning’an, receiving the same notification.
Both men looked at each other, then decided to go back to the hotel to check. They knocked for a long time, no one answered the door. It meant the girl hadn’t returned yet.
They soon realized that during their meeting, they had missed calls from the same unknown number. Sheng Yeli promptly called back.
The person on the other end informed them that a young girl had borrowed her phone to make a call over an hour ago.
Getting the address, both men hurriedly took a cab to the attraction.
On the way, they received another call from the same stranger. Sheng Yeli pressed the answer button immediately, hearing Sheng Ning’an’s voice coming from the other end, "Young Uncle, you’ve finally finished your meeting; I’ve lost my phone, come and pick me up quickly."
When they arrived at the attraction and found the place she mentioned, they saw the girl sitting by the roadside, hungrily eating a big bowl of noodles, not even sparing the soup.
Upon seeing them, she cheerfully called out, "You’re here, come over, I’ve found something delicious. Oh right, I haven’t paid yet. Which one of you can pay for me?"
Xu Weiran, relieved to see she was okay, took out his phone to pay.
Sheng Yeli had a stern look on his face as he coldly said, "Sheng Ning’an, you’re really something!" Such a grown person, and you still manage to get lost?
Sheng Ning’an innocently said, "I didn’t expect the phone to fall into the water, you can’t blame me for that."
Sheng Yeli continued sternly, "Your phone was lost, but why didn’t you try to get back to the hotel? Do you know people would worry about you?"
"Well, I lost my phone and just happened not to bring any cash, so I couldn’t take a taxi; I could only wait for you to come get me," Sheng Ning’an said, feeling a bit embarrassed about not remembering the hotel’s name when she left and being unable to look it up on her phone. Hence, she had to stay put waiting for them to come.
Indeed, she had brought her bank card, but the area around the tourist spot was a bit remote, and she couldn’t find anyplace nearby where she could use the card to get cash or pay.
After Xu Weiran had paid and returned, seeing his girlfriend getting a scolding, he hastily said, "Losing the phone is no big deal; the important thing is she’s safe. Don’t scare her."
