Sheng Ning’an woke up early in the morning and was momentarily stunned by the blanket on the bed.
There was clearly only one blanket before he went to sleep, but now there were two lying on the bed.
Where did the additional one come from?
Sheng Ning’an thought hard but couldn’t remember anything; he only recalled that he drank last night and hazily went to sleep in his room.
As for the extra blanket, he had no recollection.
Could it be that he had drunkenly rummaged through the closet for a spare blanket?
After much deliberation, Sheng Ning’an concluded that this was the only possibility.
He then got up to wash up, and as he left his room, he saw Xu Weiran sitting at the dining table.
Having rested all night, Xu Weiran’s complexion shouldn’t have looked , but he indeed appeared quite unwell.
There was obvious darkness under his eyes.
Could it be due to jet lag that he didn’t sleep well last night?
Little did he know that after he had escorted Sheng Ning’an back to his room last night, Xu Weiran had spent a good half an hour showering in cold water, and still, he couldn’t sleep, with his mind full of the image of this girl cuddling in his arms.
He ended up showering with cold water several times over.
Looking at the girl, her spirited state was evident; she obviously had slept well last night.
"Awake?" Xu Weiran glanced at her, his expression somewhat complex.
"Hmm!" For some reason, Sheng Ning’an thought she saw a trace of resentment in his gaze.
Could it be that he was reproaching her for waking up too late?
Sheng Ning’an looked at the time, it was indeed a bit late, but then, relaxation was the whole point of going out.
Besides, how could they have the energy to go out if they didn’t rest properly?
Moreover, they had plenty of time, and sleeping in a bit more should not affect the following schedule.
"Do you remember what happened last night?" Xu Weiran tentatively asked.
"What happened last night?" Sheng Ning’an looked puzzled.
After coming back last night, she had eaten something and then went back to her room to rest. Unable to sleep later, she had found two glasses of red wine on the table and drank them.
Indeed, the effect on helping her sleep was quite good.
She had slept soundly till daylight.
Sheng Ning’an felt that if she suffered from insomnia again in the future, this method would be good.
Xu Weiran knew from her expression that she definitely remembered nothing.
"Never mind, it’s nothing!"
Sheng Ning’an, however, had a vague intuition that something had happened last night, and it was related to her getting drunk.
Recalling the extra blanket on her bed, she tentatively asked, "Did I do something after I got drunk last night?"
Though Xu Weiran didn’t speak, his facial expression said it all.
Sheng Ning’an continued to guess, "My blanket isn’t yours, is it?"
Xu Weiran looked at her and then nodded, "Hmm!"
Sheng Ning’an had an ’I knew it’ expression and then cautiously asked, "So, what exactly did I do last night?"
She felt that she might have done something inappropriate while drunk, otherwise, he wouldn’t be looking at her with that expression.
"Last night, after you got drunk, you entered the wrong room." Xu Weiran considered for a moment before deciding to tell her.
It might serve as a lesson for her to be careful in the future, not to casually mess with alcohol.
As Sheng Ning’an had just sat down across from him and poured herself a cup of coffee that had been prepared on the table, she choked a bit upon hearing Xu Weiran’s words, quickly looked up, her eyes wide with disbelief, "What did you just say?"
