Sheng Ning’an bid farewell to Mr. Xu and Mother Xu before the two of them left the house.
It wasn’t until he was about to get into the car that Sheng Ning’an noticed his cast was gone.
"I was heading to the hospital, so I had the doctor remove it while I was there, saving me another trip," Xu Weiran explained.
She had planned to accompany him to get it removed, but it seemed unnecessary now.
"Even though the cast is off, you still need to rest your hand and avoid lifting heavy things," Sheng Ning’an instructed.
"If your uncle still needs to go to the hospital and you’re not available, you can call me. I can go with him."
"I’ll keep an eye on the new house for you, so you don’t need to worry about it for now. Just focus on your work and taking care of your uncle," she told him.
Sheng Ning’an wanted to say more, but then she saw Xu Weiran smiling at her.
Sheng Ning’an: "What are you laughing at?"
Xu Weiran: "Laughing at how much you’re starting to act like a nagging housewife!"
Sheng Ning’an’s expression stiffened: "Are you complaining that I’m nagging too much?"
"Of course not!" Xu Weiran said, "I’m happy that I have someone to share my burdens with."
Sheng Ning’an spoke earnestly, "I’m your girlfriend. I’m glad to help you and ease your worries when you need me to."
Xu Weiran smiled and said, "Alright, if I need anything, I’ll tell you."
Sheng Ning’an’s expression finally softened.
Sheng Ning’an missed the first of the two afternoon public classes, and the second hadn’t started yet when she entered the classroom and saw Tian Yu with a grimace on her face.
Tian Yu apologized, "I’m sorry, An’an. I wanted to cover for you, but I got caught. The professor was angry and wants you to submit a thousand-word reflection before the next class."
Normally, public classes are attended by several classes together, and due to the large number of students, professors rarely take attendance.
Little did they know that she’d be so unlucky as to end up in the class of a perverse teacher.

"How do you know that?" Sheng Ning’an looked at her suspiciously.
Shi Yue didn’t answer but instead said, "Sheng Ning’an, you already have a boyfriend. I hope you can conduct yourself with dignity."
"What do you mean by that?" Sheng Ning’an’s face grew cold.
How had she lacked self-respect? Did she need this person to remind her specifically?
Shi Yue: "I mean nothing in particular. I just hope you stay away from Zhou Xian."
Sheng Ning’an gave her a cold look: "I think, who I want to meet, whether or not I interact with someone, or if I should keep my distance, is my freedom. I shouldn’t need your reminder, should I?"
Who did she think she was?
And by what right did she remind her?
It was not her place to lecture her on what she wanted to do.
