Could the minister be scolding Shi Yue?
On the other side, Shi Yue walked over to Sheng Ning’an and her group, "What a coincidence, you guys are here for barbecue too?" Knowing the department members were watching, Shi Yue tried hard to sound relaxed and familiar, "If I had known you were coming here too, I would’ve joined you."
Sheng Ning’an looked up, glanced at her indifferently, not sure what act Shi Yue was putting on this time. Then she glanced at the direction of the publicity department’s group and could guess something.
However, she didn’t plan to cooperate and directly picked up a drink beside her, handed it to Xu Weiran, and said, "Help me open this."
From beginning to end, there was no intention to acknowledge Shi Yue.
The expression on Shi Yue’s face gradually turned ugly; she felt Sheng Ning’an was deliberately opposing her.
However, considering that the members of the publicity department were still watching, she restrained herself from losing her temper.

Shi Yue was fuming inside but still forced herself to say, "Our minister knows you are my roommates and wants to invite you over, do you want to come and sit with us?"

Although Tian Yu and Xue Xian weren’t exactly socially anxious, the other side had so many unfamiliar people, and it seemed unnecessary to force themselves into that crowd. Moreover, with An’an clearly not going, how could the two of them just go over?

Turns out their assumption was spot on, not off by a bit.
After finishing their barbecue, Sheng Ning’an and her group left first.
Due to having more people, the Student Union stayed later. By the time Shi Yue returned to the dorm, the others had already washed up and were ready for bed.
When Shi Yue came back, her face didn’t look good. When the minister targeted her before, they still somewhat disguised it with work arrangements, but tonight it was blatant.
During that time, drinks were ordered for everyone else, but Shi Yue was left out, with the excuse that she just wasn’t there and was forgotten.
Everyone in the Student Union were insightful people; they easily noticed the issue, and their attitude towards Shi Yue turned distant.
Everyone was keen to keep their distance from her, afraid to upset the minister.
Shi Yue clearly knew the minister was deliberately targeting her, yet she could only smile and say it didn’t matter, pretending not to care, and forced herself to stay till the end...
God knows how agonizing this evening was for her!
And all of this was because of Sheng Ning’an.
