The next day, Sheng Ning’an slept until nine in the morning before getting up to wash up.
When she went downstairs, she saw her grandmother sitting alone on the sofa in the living room. After leaving home, Sheng Ning’an first went to the mall to pick out a gift for Tian Yu, then proceeded to the location Tian Yu had sent her.
Tian Yu’s treat was at a hot pot restaurant near the school. As soon as Sheng Ning’an parked, she saw Tian Yu standing at the entrance, waving at her.
Sheng Ning’an locked her car door and walked towards her.
“Happy Birthday!” She handed the birthday gift to Tian Yu.
“Thank you!” Tian Yu happily accepted it, taking her arm as they went inside.
Tian Yu didn’t invite anyone else, just the four of them from their dorm.
When Shi Yue saw her, she didn’t look too happy, but Tian Yu probably already told her she would be coming. Though unhappy, she didn’t intentionally make trouble.
For Tian Yu’s sake, Sheng Ning’an also put aside their past unpleasantness temporarily.
The two of them just ignored each other.
Tian Yu awkwardly tried to ease the atmosphere.
The two cooperated, at least they didn’t confront each other.

After the hot pot, Tian Yu invited everyone to go singing.
Shi Yue glanced in Sheng Ning’an’s direction and said, “Singing is boring. I know a new bar opened near the school! Why don’t we go there instead?”
Tian Yu couldn’t help but look at Sheng Ning’an, then at Xue Xian, and finally at Shi Yue, saying, “For us girls to go to a bar, isn’t that inappropriate?”

Tian Yu was persuaded, as she had never been to a bar before.

The bar was not far from the school. The group left the hot pot restaurant and arrived in a few minutes.
Because it was the weekend, the bar was quite crowded, mostly young faces, probably like them, students coming to the bar for experience.
The four of them found a booth to sit in.
A waiter came over to take their order.
It was the first time for Tian Yu and Xue Xian, who looked at the drink menu for a long time. Finally, under the waiter’s recommendation, each ordered a cocktail that was said to have a lower alcohol content.
When it was Sheng Ning’an’s turn, she directly said to the waiter, “I’ll have a soda water, thank you!”
