As finals approached,
the Sheng Family’s moving preparations finally all fell into place.
At a rare family dinner, Qin Suxin looked at Sheng Chuyi and asked, “Yiyi, the preparations for moving are almost ready. As soon as you finish your exams, we’ll be leaving. Have you told Zhaozhao and the others?”

“Then you should say a proper goodbye to Zhaozhao, and what about your friends? Do you want to invite them over before we leave?” Qin Suxin said gently.
“No need,” Sheng Chuyi declined.
After a pause, he looked up again, “Mom, can’t we wait to move after the summer holidays?”
Qin Suxin looked at her son with pity, “I know you don’t want to leave Zhaozhao and the rest. Your dad and I don’t want to leave them either. But your father’s company just went public, and he’s in a new place with a lot more to handle, so it’s definitely not convenient for him to run back and forth. I’m also worried about him being alone in Jing City without anyone to take care of him. Plus, you have a lot of paperwork to handle for transferring to a school in Jing City. The sooner we get everything sorted out there, the sooner we can rest easy. I plan to keep the house here so that if you ever want to come back to see Zhaozhao and the others, you can do so anytime.”
“I understand!” Sheng Chuyi didn’t continue the conversation, put down his chopsticks, stood up, and said, “I’m done eating, going back to my room now!”
Watching her son’s retreating back, Qin Suxin couldn’t help but sigh.
After all, they had lived here for so long; not only did the boy not want to leave, but she didn’t want to leave either.
