"SwordMagic: Fusion - Fire and Light!"

A second sun bloomed in the palm of his hand.

No longer merely fire, wild, crimson, and ravenous, nor just light, pure, searing, and divine. This was both. A fusion of destruction and redemption. Of wrath and cleansing. A flame reborn with purpose.

His katana ignited with the fusion, its blade radiating a brilliance so intense it no longer cast shadows, it erased them.

Even the wind seemed to kneel.

Virelyth, the Hollowheart Warden, colossal, ancient, twisted with corruption, hesitated mid-charge.

Its annihilation wave fizzled into a flicker, like a nightmare disrupted by dawn.

One breath. One thought.

And he was there, within the shadow of the Hollowheart itself. Katana drawn back, the arc of his stance like the curve of a comet poised to fall.

His aura surged, no longer mere power, but presence.

The forest wept in silence as bark peeled from trees and leaves turned to cinders midair. Overhead, the storm twisted in retreat.

A final, absolute slash.

"With this, all shadows return to ash. All corruption returns to the void... Solar Severance!"

A line of incandescent flame tore through Virelyth's core, a beam of radiant fury, too precise to be chaos, too powerful to be reason.

The beam didn't stop.

It carved through the Warden's heart.

Through the stone veins of the Realm Gate itself.

A perfect, blinding second passed.

Virelyth's scream died in its throat. The green flame that pulsed in its chest flickered once... then dimmed... then imploded.

Its massive body trembled.

Cracked like porcelain under pressure.

The Warden disintegrated into glowing ash and ember, drifting upward like the last breath of a dying forest.

The Hollowheart, once the anchor of the Verdant Realm, was no more.

Taufik stood amidst the falling ash.

The battlefield was silent now, blanketed in the soft snowfall of glowing embers. Light filtered through the broken canopy above, painting him in pale gold and fading green.

He exhaled slowly, steam curling from his breath.

His gaze lifted to the sky.

There, like the eye of a slumbering god opening for the first time, a golden spiral gate unfurled above the treetops, beckoning.

"…One to ten," he muttered. "Logged"

He sheathed his katana with a whispering shink, the sound final, like the end of a chapter.

A soft chime echoed within his mind.

[Is it necessary to shout the skill name out loud like that, Master?]

Taufik blinked, then chuckled softly as he walked toward the waiting gate.

[But there's no one here to hear you]

He smirked, stepping into a shaft of light.

"That's exactly why I can do it. If someone were here, I'd probably just whisper it and pretend I didn't care"

"You don't get it," he replied with a grin. "You'll never understand the romance of it, the sheer joy of yelling out your move right before unleashing hell. It's in every man's blood"

The System stayed quiet, perhaps calculating how "romance" and "tactical efficiency" were compatible.

Taufik arrived at the foot of the Golden Gate. Light danced around him, and the air hummed with anticipation. He rested one hand on the hilt of his katana, then took a step forward.

"Forget it. Let's see what biome floor 11 has in store"

And with that, he vanished into the light onward, into whatever challenge waited beyond.

As Taufik stepped through the golden spiral gate, he expected solid ground beneath his feet. What he got instead... was nothing.

Gravity caught him instantly.

His voice came out flat, more surprised than alarmed, as wind howled past his ears and tugged at his clothes. Clouds rushed by in streaks of white and gold. The sky above was a fading halo.

Below... Well. That was the problem.

But Taufik didn't panic.

Falling from a great height wasn't exactly fatal for him. He'd tested worse. If he somehow did die here? He'd laugh at the absurdity of it. But if someone else felt ...

"Now that would be a cruel joke," he muttered. "So… floor eleven's biome is the sky? No, wait... maybe floating islands? Or worse... a sky city?"

He flexed his mana. In a single motion, brilliant wings of light and energy unfolded from his back, arcane and angular, glowing like geometric feathers drawn by a divine hand.

With a burst, he stabilized in midair, the fall slowing into a graceful hover.

The smile that spread across his face wasn't joyful. It was the kind of grin born from disbelief and grim amusement.

"…You've got to be kidding me"

Beneath him, stretching in all directions like a vast, cruel canvas was an ocean. An endless, shimmering sea with no island, no shore, no land. Just rolling waves and unknowable depths. Not even the horizon offered hope.

"This floor… It's ocean-only?" he muttered, shaking his head. "Is this just the Tower's way of telling humans to go die?"

A chime echoed in his mind.

[Master, something seems… not right]

Taufik narrowed his eyes. "What, worse than this?"

[Yes, Master. The number of people gathering outside the Infinite Tower is rapidly increasing. Tension is rising. If this continues, a large-scale conflict between factions is inevitable]

Taufik let out a slow sigh, staring out into the vast nothing.

"…Humans really don't know how to wait, do they?"

He floated in silence for a moment, the wind pulling at his coat.

[What will you do, Master?]

"There's nothing else to do," he said, voice calm but edged with decision. "Open the Infinite Tower early"

[Understood. Shall I unlock all floors?]

"No. Only the first four. Floors five and up remain sealed, as we agreed"

He began drifting lower, letting his mana wings carry him gently toward the distant sea.

"And make it very clear in the announcement," he added, "the Infinite Tower isn't a game. If they die inside... they die for real"

[Understood. Shall I broadcast the message now?]

[As per your order, Master]

A subtle pulse of light flickered in the air as the System obeyed.

And Taufik, floating in the vast skies of floor eleven, gazed down at the boundless sea, and smiled again, darker this time.

"Let's see who survives this round"

At the same time, all around the world...

In homes lit only by candlelight.

In underground bunkers carved from panic and calamity.

In cities still smoldering from riots, from rebellion, from failed regimes.

In skyscraper ruins and alleys buried beneath ash.. It appeared.

A soft chime echoed in the minds of every adult.

And then... A System Announcement.

Every man, every woman connected to the World System froze.

By the weight of something greater than them.

[World System Notice - Priority Announcement]

[The Infinite Tower Has Opened]

[Available Access: Floor 1 to Floor 4 Only]

[WARNING: Death Within the Infinite Tower is Permanent]

[There Are No Second Chances]

[Survival Is Not Guaranteed. Progress Is Not Linear. This Is Not Salvation... This Is a Test]

[Proceed at Your Own Risk.]

The world held its breath.

On a storm-battered island in the Southern Archipelago, a gang leader dropped his half-lit cigarette, the ember burning unnoticed at his feet.

In the frozen wastes that were once Antarctica, a lone mercenary pulled off his glove with trembling fingers, steam rising from his breath as he stared at the glowing notice on his wrist console.

In the shattered ruins of Old New York, deep in the moss-choked husk of a collapsed skyscraper, scavengers and anything alike stopped moving. Their eyes reflected the pulsing light of the interface like it was a divine omen.

In the temples of Old Asia, monks stirred from silence.

On drifting airships over the sky, sky-pirates tightened their grips on railings.

On walls painted with neon and blood, rebels looked up.

And in a classroom deep in a forgotten valley, a child too young to receive the message watched their parents fall silent, eyes wide with fear and awe.

Some laughed like lunatics at the heavens.

Some sharpened their blades.

Because one truth had become clear.

Opportunity had arrived.

And with it, the chance to rewrite everything, status, wealth, power, purpose.

And that is how the New Era began.

Not with understanding.

But with a single, terrible question whispered into every soul:

This is an era where anyone can become anything, an era full of opportunities, and all of that comes from a single source, the Infinite Tower.
